  1. Tom Sparrow’s manager needs to get that photo taken down immediately. That’ll really damage his brand.
  2. Great stuff ET. I’m probably a bit sensitive as I haven’t really loved seeing some of the pile on of one of our posters here, who happens to be female. It made me uncomfortable, but in a way I don’t think I’m able to articulate properly. Again, apologies for misinterpreting your comment. I just wish everyone could perhaps act with a little more empathy (and I’ll try and remember to do the same!). Enjoy the rest of your weekend 👍
  3. Well if that’s how you feel then I agree. I thought you were suggesting something else, so I’m sorry if I took it in a way that wasn’t intended. 👍
  4. Why? Theres a bit of a weird misogynistic tone about parts of this thread that I don’t really love.
  5. I couldn’t find this article. What did they say about Jack?
  6. I think it’s just fresh. I imagine most folks will move on pretty quickly next season, particularly if there are wins. Football teams are very tribal too. Most of us don’t have a choice. It’s a family thing that we inherited, or it was a very early life choice that is ingrained. It’s quite a unique relationship between sports teams and their fans. It’s a bit like the mob, once you’re in there’s only one way out. So people will back in the institution over the individual in that circumstance, because they have a fierce loyalty to the immortality of the institution.
  7. Dull game, after such a cracker this arvo.
  8. I know! And only getting paid a million dollars a year. The nerve. The reality is that sport is entertainment, and as a result there is a trade off in terms of a relationship between fans and athletes. The club knows this all too well - because they essentially sell access to the players as sponsorship. It’s immature to think the fans aren’t a critical part of the game - just as an audience is to a film. They (we) literally pay for the whole thing.
  9. Well, at least the Sydney game was good. 1 out of 4 🤷‍♂️
  10. Yeah, I suspect so too. I just wish the whole thing didn’t feel so much like an own goal.
  11. What did I miss with Lever? Did he have a surgery?
  12. I don’t know who I hate more in tonight’s game.
  13. But why can’t both things be true? Why do we have to pick a side in all this? Tracc has acted poorly, while also having some legitimate and real concerns about how the club is being managed. I don’t get how calling out his behaviour equals accepting that the club is all good. Both things can be true.
  14. The old ‘if at first you don’t succeed, get Tom Morris to act as your mouthpiece’ plan? Not sure it’s a great long term strategy.
  15. The AFL need to start paying a free kick against if you drop your knees like that. Someone will end up in a wheelchair.
  16. Hogan is the player he should have always been, and it’s a great story.
  17. You still play under 12’s? Aren’t the other kids a bit suspicious?
  18. This is the key to a successful year in the modern era. Most teams can afford, and have set themselves up around, 3-4 really good players. If your B graders all have a great year at once you can rise quickly. But the reverse is also true.
  19. What’s the story with Bont? Why have him sitting at half forward when they can’t win the ball?
  20. The club doesn’t leak on somethings it appears.
  21. Well there ya go.
  22. Well in that case…. I’ve always loved you Clarrie. Don’t go anywhere. We’ve got your back.
  23. I reckon if the state government built us our own Stadium at Casey, and then we only allowed 300 opposition supporters in we’d give that record a fair shake.
  24. Except last year when they didn’t play finals?
