  1. Just posted on 'ology..."I have it under good authority that Cameron Schwab will be sacked within 24hrs and a presser to be held shortly....My source comes from a players father who i work with. Watch this space......"
  2. From the article, it appears there was absolutely no hint of the board, or anyone else for that matter, condoning the deliberate loss of games - except for this little journalistic titbit from Jon Pierik "....in a year the club was desperate to not win more than four matches and therefore secure the two top picks in the national draft." How does he know the MFC were desperate? The answer is he doesn't. It is an opion, and any devious slant he can put in a story about Melbourne, he will.
  3. Perhaps we should give Sylvia the benefit of the doubt regarding his continual membership of the rehab group. Someone mentioned that his back hasn't been the same since he broke it in the NAB game last year, so he may need to be on a managed programme...
  4. But the other charges (draft tampering and disrepute) can only be laid if tanking is proved...
  5. "...constantly giving away frees..." check your facts before posting - he gave away an average of only 2 per game last season - and received almost 2 as well...!
  6. I just spent 2 minutes on Footywire and came up with the following re Jack Watts in 2009: Played 3 game Best game: 10 disposals Laid 1 tackle in 3 games Gave away 6 frees, received 2 Lucky to play more than 1 game in my opinion. Mr. Clothier, Mr. Haddad, this is called INVESTIGATING, something which seems very foreign to you. Perhaps because of your serious lack of exposure to AFL games, these numbers mean nothing to you. It should have resulted in no mention in the report. End of story. Yet apparently this scenario was/is heavily scrutinized. You reveal yourselves to be bumbling amateurs AT BEST, especially when it comes to AFL footy. I'd be very surprised if the people you "interviewed" weren't struggling to keep a straight face as you asked your questions...
  7. Haddad and Clothier know nothing about AFL football. They were employed by the AFL to oversee integrity issues. Clothier was a solicitor and Haddad was recruited from the UN to set up a database of Club employees and managers (phone numbers and bank accounts) in order to track down illicit betting activity. They are now running around like chooks with their heads cut off asking anyone and everyone associated with the MFC what their thoughts are regarding the tanking allegations. Not understanding the responses they received would explain the voluminous nature of their report. Instead of "investigating", they have merely reported and asked the various persons of interest to explain themselves. They absolutely cannot be serious about the Jack Watts scenario.
  8. It's been reported that the "investigators" (let's just call them Clouseau and Sigfried for the moment) interviewed dozens of people, some numerous times. I expect they must have asked Bailey about the Richmond game. And I further expect he gave reasons for the low interchanges, positional moves, selections etc. After giving his reasons, isn't it encumbent upon the investigators to follow up on those explanations? After all, even members of the general public have been able to research and view the game and access all the statistics and injuries. But apparently not...they want Bailey to do their work for them. They act like prosecution attorney's who aren't interested in any facts which may prove innocence and so failed to follow the explanations up. In my view, they are AFL employees and should be looking after the best interests of the clubs - which includes the MFC... Perhaps it just seemed like too much hard work for them... PS: I can just picture these bumbling buffoons recording over the coaches box tapes for their interviews...
  9. So the much vaunted investigation team missed the tapes entirely - what on earth were these so called professionals doing for six months...
  10. The commentary and VoiceOver on the HUN's website re the last quarter is ridiculously biased...hilighting the Melbourne coaching staff's reaction to hitting the lead! Come on...it's a bit early for celebrating, don't you think? That's TENTION fella's, nerves, whatever...and Nathan Browns only goal of the quarter on Paul Johnson - not only was it a fluke, but Paul beat him clearly to ball, only to have it bounce off his legs towards Nathan...
  11. I have a feeling Matt Jones might surprise everyone...his performances when finally moved into the midfield by Box Hill were outstanding...
  12. I wonder what Jade Rawlings means when he says, "Joel brings a lot to the group from a spiritual sense..."
  13. I strongly believe that, beginning with 2013 and while Neeld is coach of the MFC, we will never endure another losing season...his mantra "hardest team to play against" will ring in the players and supporters ears for a decade or more.
  14. And Geelong should have won a couple of premierships with the talent they had at the time...yet they didn't...wonder why?
  15. Bit of a worry with their prognosis for Trenners...initially the injury was to keep him out for 6 weeks - now it's 8 to 10 weeks. Hopefully it doesn't develop into a Jurrah type injury i.e. 2 to 4 weeks for 10 weeks in a row...
  16. Checked Collingwood's website today: Jason Taylor is still listed as a staff member: "National Recruiting Assissistant."
  17. This is getting pretty far off topic fella's....
  18. Contacted the Melbfc through their website regarding Jason's whereabouts and received the following reply: "We are expecting an announcement in relation to our recruiting team shortly. Any news will be posted on our website www.melbournefc.com.au, so keep an eye on there for all up-to-date news."
  19. Still listed on Collingwood's website...
  20. I remember the talk leading up to the 2010 draft - everyone knew the Dee's we were after a KPF, and hoping like hell that Tom Lynch would last to pick 12. Unfortunately, he got picked up by Gold Coast at pick 11. Lucas Cook was considered at the time the next best option...
  21. What we should have done was draft Jack Hannath in the National Draft and rookied Matt Jones...
  22. Someone over at 'ology reckons the Dees are seriously considering 25 yo Ian Richardson, a small forward from Claremont who averages over 2 goals a game...
  23. The HUN today says GWS are certain to pick Whitfield, O'Rourke and Plowman with their first 3 picks, leaving Toupas to the Dees...
  24. A mature age player that has played for Port since 1993 and averages close to 20 disposals per game and is still only 27 years and 4 months old is Stevev Salopek. He has moved back to Victoria and is still keen to play. Why we took Rodan ahead of him is beyond me.
