These guys have a history of lies, in fact it was so bad that Patrick Smith gave away a lifetime of support in protest. I wouldn't think you trust anything that comes from the mouths of Robson, Hird, Thompson or Evans.
He was becoming the let out option because of his decision making and kicking skills. Opposition coaches saw this and worked to cut him out when we played them. It wasn't during a game it was pre game planning and the defensive forward was going to Watts.
Watts was causing enough grief last year for opposition coaches to start playing a defensive forward on him. I think he will be a difficult match up this year and really step it up another notch.
Col certainly has the physical attributes but I've always thought it was peripheral vision, awareness and decision making that let him down. He's not a smart footballer but with Moloney gone it's probably not as big an issue, if he can get to enough ball he can cause damage.
Great pix.
Just an observation...interesting that some are still struggling with high tackles even though we have been working on going low. It's going to take time to break old habits for some players, others are showing some great tackling form.
Trouble is the focus on skin folds and body fat composition has pushed players away from alcohol and to recreational (not a great word I know) drugs in a time when this is becoming an acceptable part of youth culture.
The AFL didn't have to get involved in the first place and now they've made a rod for their own back. They really should have gone with the WADA code and be done with it.
It was an issue 'Redleg' earlier in the day when what he said could have mean't a number of things but now we know it was a slip well it is as you say irrelevant.
Seems like the boss doesn't put in the long hours. Is he doing the old 9 to 5?
Wouldn't have thought an organisation like the AFL would shut up shop too early, the boss just got caught out.
