Billy might say he walks away from the past and so might you but in reality no one does or in fact can. It informs where and why you are at where you are now. Of course it shouldn't be over analysed as everything will grind to a halt and nothing will move forward but it is still a very important resource believe it or not. As for things you can and can't control, well if it wasn't for a lot of us supporters getting active we wouldn't have Jackson or Roos at the club now. A lot of us couldn't abide the previous administration and made enough noise that eventually the AFL took notice. So yep, I'm going to waste my energy to get change if that's what I believe needs to happen and I will continue to criticise the AFL when they are being less than honest. It might take time but you do get a result in the end. There's a lot to be said about working on what you can control, I think that circle of influence is a lot greater than you think.

If Clark goes then it has to be to the club that gives us the best deal. It's a bit like Clark to Freo, they didn't come up with the best deal and we trumped them both with Brisbane and Clark. Maybe the Doggies will come up with a deal we and he can't refuse. Remember, he has a history of changing his mind at the last moment.

Frawley pick 3.

Quote Quote I think they might be double dipping here...Dom the young talent and Dom the experienced 38 game player. Viv was a very experienced 1/2 a game player when he came to us and Riley had a broken leg. I guess that figures, there's been a bit of double dipping by Mike "stadium deal" Fitzpatrick. Why not be consistent. Good work Dill and sidekick DH Evans.

All I'm saying 'Nasher' is it's not that simple. Get 'Danger', pay overs and all will be good. I'm really looking forward to the complete package Roos and the crew have in mind. Interesting times ahead I reckon, I also reckon we don't know the half of it yet.

Just give me a good game 'Bluebeard'.

The AFL have moved away from equalisation and are working on something much more important. It's called match day experience, real cutting edge stuff to get the fan involved in footy. This is the type of stuff that's top of mind with Dill and DH Evo along with conflicted Mike. Dill's also working hard on the price of pies and chips.

They were also lucky that their PP's in a strong draft. It does make a difference.
-
Exactly the point I'm trying to make 'Machsy'. I'm not sure how old you are but I've seen this all before at Melbourne and it's why I'm gun-shy with Patty. I know we've got some good people in charge but we did then when Barassi got Templeton & Moore.
-
We haven't got pick 3 yet...
-
...but they're heading nowhere 'Machsy', in fact they're probably in a worse position than us now. Next year will tell the tale but I would be surprised if we don't jump them.
-
It's not about Judd & Kennedy, it's about where it got Carlton. Next to nowhere is my opinion. Getting one big fish is not necessarily the answer.
-
That's why we have an independent commission. A commission supposed to make decisions in the best interest of the game and not be influenced by clubs pushing their own agenda's.
-
Would be a huge bonus if he could get back on track.
-
I think they expected him to take them to a flag, delusional I know. Yes, Judd did cover a multitude of sins. If you think you can go out and buy the best talent but don't have the recruiting and development covered you're heading nowhere and despite scrapping into the finals a couple of times Carlton are heading nowhere. Does this make a move from us for Danger good or bad. Neither, but there are lessons to be learnt.
-
Carlton have been a fail no matter which way you look at it. Judd has been a good player for them but has it helped there cause? no. We were rubbish with or without Jones. GC as I say the jury is still out, of course they had to take Ablett but I would be concerned how they packed it in without him. These kids are not rookies anymore they have a bit of experience behind them.
-
I would say it's pretty easy to assess. They are not a premiership threat and nor are they likely to be one for quite a while, it's a fail.
-
I would say the Judd to Carlton thing has been a massive fail. The club has built itself to an average middle rung team who really don't have a lot of upside. The jury is still out on Ablett and GC. He is a great player but I would be very concerned at how his teammates fell in a heap when he wasn't on the ground to hold their hands.

Tyson polls well, will he win a Brownlow before Kelly?

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

I think that's right, it's also interesting how the players are distancing themselves from the club and Hird. It seems to be a definite strategy now with Watson expressing similar views earlier. -
...and very surprised 'dazzle'. Can't see it happening.
-
You don't trade 2 top picks for one player.
-
I've not seen or heard anything about Dangerfield that says he will bring leadership to the club.
-
If Eddie lets them. That's why it's called an independent com....ooohhh, well that's what it's supposed to be anyway.
