He takes a good grab when he gets to the ball but has no idea of where to run, he's not a natural footballer.
-
...but they used our ability to trade him this year as a reason to knock back a PP. I don't hold out any hope of assistance in this matter at all, we are on our own here.
-
People mention this a bit on here. I don't see the AFL doing anything to help us if Mitch goes apart from sticking with their flimsy version of the rules. It's up to us what trade we can make, there will be no icing on top from the AFL.

I would be surprised 'Machsy', but didn't have his best year. The reasons he would be moved on are a great deal coming the other way or Roos thinks he is beyond repair after the Neeld years. The later one is possible, Garland really did put in against great odds and looked emotionally exhausted. For me he's one of a couple that deserves success at our club. ...I also wouldn't take a post on a Richmond forum as gospel either. -
Hasn't really shown it yet 'Machsy' but if he is then I'm sure he will be in our sights.

Why? they will do that in a heartbeat, but he is just another NQR.

If they want to give us Griffen I'll take him. He's the elite type of mid you would give up a top pick for. -
No they don't. They have a right to play in the AFL or not. If they choose to pursue footy as a career of course they are better off in the AFL but they can still go to the VFL or the EFL or many other competitions. Another option is they can always play another sport or try another career altogether.

The sell from the AFLPA was to allow players struggling to get a game to be able to freely move to another club. I know...it's a load of BS but that's what they were pushing. Anyone could see it would be about more money and opportunity for the top players. The only FA not getting a game that I can remember changing clubs was someone we got from Geelong.
-
They shouldn't get a first rounder for him, he hasn't shown enough. Interesting hearing the Swans recruiter talking about Roos requirement was that they had to be a real competitor. I think this may count O'Rourke out.

Very similar and the same outcome. Rohan copped a beauty across the jaw in the first 10 minutes and nothing happened. -
I think we are lucky as he usually disappears after the season finishes. Besides he was the one that tipped the Hawks wouldn't make it to the finals this year.
-
The Swans didn't put any pressure on today. Why Geelong had the Hawks measure was, well of course they had a team full of champions, but they also put a lot of pressure on the ball carrier and didn't let the good kicks get clear on their left. Hawthorn were allowed to run their own race and it was party time for Mitchell, Hodge and Lewis, they always had an option and they used it.

So did I 'Hood', it was just one of those days where you can run around and get absolutely nowhere fast. -

Well lets start or re open a thread. He didn't have a great day today but wasn't on his own there. I'm sure the door would be slightly ajar down at MFC if he would like to step in. -
...and they have their own number 4 who is in for his elite disposal and not his contested ball winning. It's about team 'Al', not just one player and you need a good mix.
-
They know their teammates will hit them with the pass though, makes a big difference.
-
How did Watts get in this discussion, can't we leave him out of it for now.
-
The last 2 (2013,2014) have been much worse. 2007 was a celebration of great footy by one side and putting our dubious 1988 record to bed.
-
Would just be a good honest goer in our team, they have enough players with real skill who can kick and cover. We don't.
-
Very, very average today but not on his own. I reckon only 3 and 1/2 players came to play today. Malceski by far their best player on the day, Kennedy worked hard, Buddy did his job and Goodes was the half, at least he did something with the ball. The rest might as well not have bothered, in fact they didn't. Such a boring game of footy, Sydney got well ahead of themselves and forgot all about the defensive aspects of their game.

Quality of the picture is poor, the camera work not a lot better. Must go HD....

We wanted Lynch but got beaten to the punch so decided to take Cook. Bad decision. -
I'm sure they would but at least he does have a legitimate reason for getting out of the club.
