  1. With you on Hrovat. If they want a KPF then they have to have the courage to make a decision. I don't think they will do it though and we will move on.
  2. Good call 'Machsy', the 3 of them would be on the podium that's for sure.
  3. It's a good wrap but Brenton is renowned for this type of thing. I think 'Shifter' just gets him with the overflowing praise on kids but it's a very closely run race.
  4. Look, he's just one of those guys that tell you what you want to hear. They are quite charismatic but have not one once of substance and you can't trust a word they say. His actions show that...we have a word for this, rhymes with anchor.
  5. Just go James...
  6. They will and the last mob overpaid them for Dawes. Can't see that happening again.
  7. Exactly 'Pennant', if they want the KPP they are desperate to get then they have to pay the price and it's not Hrovat.
  8. Not worth a 2nd rounder.
  9. What a pity this didn't go to court, it was the only hope of us ever getting close to the truth. ...but the plan from his end was always to push for the dollars, he held his line under good advise knowing that Essendon would never go to court and got the result.
  10. I didn't realise Griffen was 28, will be 29 next season. What we really need is to pick up players in that 22 to 25 yo age group. The lost years...Blease, Strauss, Gysberts, Tapscott, Cook, Clark (he cost us a good pick in that age group) etc.
  11. He single-handedly kept us coming to the footy in some dark days. Then there was 87. An absolute legend and the last true champion to play for the club.
  12. I hope some of ours are getting NT ambassador payments if that is the case.
  13. Yeah I would, he's either fit to play or he's not. He was robbed of AA honours the year he played there for Brisbane and I can guarantee Geelong will use him in the ruck for a fair degree of time particularly if Vardy comes back.
  14. Don't agree on this at all 'rp', Clark would be an enormous help in the midfield. A winning ruck who can get a lot of his own ball would be invaluable.
  15. Whatever culture they had last Saturday I'm not buying it.
  16. On that Roos agrees with you, I'm not sure it was the worst rule.....but I've never liked it.
  17. I think the sub will be gone next season, the AFL have flagged this already. Not official by any means but it's for the scrap heap.
  18. Another way of looking at this 'rpfc' is that if they go to the draft they use pick 13 for a player who has played no games and has no exposed form at the level. So what do you do, pick someone who is now fit and has shown that he is a top level player and fits a glaring need, or do you use pick 13 on a kid who will take a few years to develop and may or may not make the grade?
  19. I always thought we would have used Clark in the Ottens type role but it seems that's what he will now do at Geelong. I'm sure they will pay for the privilege.
  20. 'Hood', you might remember back in Box Hill in the days when the rail crossing was on Station Street just before every State election the tractors rolled in. Of course it was a con job on the electorate who thought that finally the crossing was being removed and the line going under the street. Then after the election the tractors disappeared but the crossing didn't. Ever since then I use the word "tractors" when ever I hear about the airport rail link and many other great ideas that seem to miraculously come up around election time and just as miraculously disappear after. This sounds like tractors to me.
  21. So you think we should trade him for Varcoe? I'm not getting your point here.
  22. ...and how much value did we get from him?
  23. Why trade out one damaged and trade in another damaged. I don't think we will go down this path.
