I would have a bit more sympathy if we had drafted Mitch and he got home sick and wanted to go back to WA as he wouldn't have had a choice. But the case here is that Mitch had the choice to go back to WA and decided to at the last minute to come to MFC for a bucket load of cash. Now that it is not working out to well (due to injuries which are out of his control) and he decides he wants to go back to WA after all

Jolly did not turn down the chance to move back home only to go to another state for a bucket of cash.

What about Tapscott who is also having a hard time? He also deserves some compassion.

Wonder if any other interstate players who have spent lots of time on the sidelines going to need leave to. Tapscott is having a tough run with injury only having played a handful of games in the past 2 years to.

He actually was accused when he took the leave. He wasnt granted leave because of it. Jurrah was having problems with his wrist constantly and fitness issues and then took leave to see his family in Darwin.

Never heard anyone sook and carry on so much over a forum thread they started but wouldnt even be read by Mitch anyway. That said I think we will definitely need to go hard for a new KPF next off season. If Howe goes down we are in big trouble and will have next to no targets. Hogan will also need the support down there also.

If Frawley leaves and we have a bad year we could potentially be looking at 3 first round picks. If we come last picks 1 2 and 3 could be ours.

He is 26 going on 27 so I wouldn't exactly say he is "near" the end of it and I would not say playing HBF for the MFC is exactly the easiest position in the world to play either.

Watts is also an NQR wandering in the sunset. People would be crying out loud if he was UFA this year, especially if he had a ripper pre season.

We nurture players like Dunn, Watts and Spencer for years and as soon as one comes good everyone is happy to see him go. Sigh

Yet people arn't concerned if Dunn leaves even though he is durable as anything and probably dirt cheap in comparison.

We would be laughing if Clark Watts Trengove and Toumpas had the durability, fight and consistency of Lynden.

He showed faith and resigned only for us to keep sitting at the bottom of the ladder. He may not be so happy to resign again. We have no reliable players who can play HBF like Lynden can.

We need him to stand up, show some leadership and be the first MFC free agent to re sign.
