How are these players defensively? We need to draft a kid who runs both ways otherwise they may end up being just lile Moloney or Sylvia.

How is freeman defensivly? We need a kid who can run both ways.

Pick 9 and Blease for adams and pick 20 Then we can snare Jones.
-
Crouch will be available but good chance he ll slip to 15. If we want him we may as well downgrade pick again.

Weight: 78kgTeam/Club: Victoria Metro/Northern Knights/Ivanhoe GrammarPosition: Half Forward/Half BackPlayer Comparision: Dustin Martin/Dayne Beams (forward version)Draft Range: 7-15 Player Profile Ben Lennon is very much in the mould of a Dustin Martin type, in that he can play virtually anywhere between midfield and deep forward where his strength and marking power see him play a key forward position, despite being only 188cms. Gifted with versatility and explosiveness, Lennon makes big impacts on games no matter which position he plays in. Some prefer him up forward, where his marking ability is second to none, and his goal nous – either on the run or from a set shot is ultra-reliable. Lennon has a booming kick that penetrates well over 60 metres, which if in defence, plays a bit similar to Shannon Hurn. Up forward, Lennon is very smart, he does like to wheel around and carry on after marking and can finish with ease from outside 50, or hit up a target inside 50 lace out. Lennon has terrific pace, makes multiple leads, and has his running patterns down pat. Not only a brilliant tracker of the ball, Lennon is also very agile, mobile and clean beneath his knees and has a knack of kicking multiple goals. Earlier in the championships, when Lennon played out of defence, his whopping kick cut through zones, and sometimes cleared them, allowing Metro to go coast-to-coast with ease. However, it’s his form torwards the later end of the TAC Cup home and away season as well as the finals series, where he has demonstrated a huge ability to roll through the midfield for the Knights, and play very much as an attacking midfielder which has really shot him into contention to go as early as pick 7 to the Brisbane Lions. His first final against Gippsland was reflective of this, having twenty-five disposals, five tackles, seven inside 50′s whilst kicking three goals. A big time player, who stamps his authority and dominance on the game. Quote ”I think I’ll always be a half-forward, so I am comfortable playing there. If I can get as comfortable playing in the midfield I’ll be pretty happy.”

Trade blease Tapscott Dunn Jetta Strauss Nicholson for a pick in 20s to snare Jones. Maybe add Magner to.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DOM TYSON
olisik replied to angrydee's topic in Melbourne Demons
I remember reading he had a clause in his contract to stop him being a F/a and St Kilda were accessing the potential compo they would get for him as a f/a before releasing him from the clause rather then trading him. The fact that they released him would suggest they are expecting a high pick as compo. Maybe pick 4 or pick 10 mid first round? -

Pick 9 may become pick 10 with the fa compo for dal santo -
West Coast would be nervous trading pick 6 for 10 and 27 now thinking Sheed will drop to them. Would love to use 9 to cut their lunch.

This is going to make West Coast nervous about downgrading pick 6 to pick 10 considering they want Dom Sheed so badly. Would be nice if they took the risk and we ended up taking Sheed at 9 -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BERNIE VINCE

Knowing our luck compo pick will be after our first rounder now. Pick 3 for Vince. Aish to Crows -
Gws trying for collingwoods pick 10 for Adams. Pick 9 and 10 for 2 I would do.
-
Giants are keen on one of Collingwoods picks 10 or 11 for Adams, if this is the case it could be factored into the pick 2 deal. Pick 9 and 10 and maybe a player for pick 2? Could get us a Crouch and a Freeman.
-
Should offer 2 for pick 9 and Adams Collingwood can have Buntine and Bugg. We should play hardball and not settle for the sloppy 2nds
-
Who cares who was nominated as preferred club. Pick 2 > Shaw. Pick 2 for Adams and pick 9 Offer Buntine and Bugg to Collingwood.
