If Trengove comes good now I guarantee at the 8 year mark Martin would have been better value over the whole 8 year period.

People may have laughed but look who just got rising star nomination in thyre first game.Watts is a good example, took him until his 6th season for it to click. 5 years of development and he is free to walk at end of his current contract. Trengove is in his 5th year.

One main reason which I am not big on spending 4+ years on development is because players can get up and leave after 8. We may as well get 8 solid years out of players rather then 4 development uears and 4 exceptional years only to have the player poached.

Guys can we refrain from the childish bully comments and keep this discussion about Dunstan? Some of the comments in this thread are extremely offensive

We have spent the last 10 odd years going for the development player over the ready made player with our early picks. Sorry just irks me seeing Martin, Wines, Darling Rockliff and so on tear it up week out while our guys continue to develop at Casey.

Just got nominated for rising star against the dees. Meanwhile Salem is developing at Casey.

If we lose Frawley we will most likely get band 1 compensation, which….looking at how we are going, could be as high as pick 3. Based on how well our team develops backmen I am quite confident we could find somebody to fill the void. Yes it would be good if he stays however it will not be the end of the world if he does not. Dunn on the other hand is a good value workman who is killing it on the HBF and i think roos can get the best out of him. In the outside chance a team like Richmond who Dunn would really help decides to put up an offer then we are in trouble for holding out.

Look at the stats Dunn 2013 Ave Disposals 16 Ave tacklers 3.3 Ave rebound 50s 3.9 Ave marks 3.7 Frawley 2013 Ave disposals 14.8 Ave tackles 2.4 Ave rebound 50s 3.4 Ave marks 5.7 Outside of marking Dunn wins across the board. So tell me why do you think Frawley is better value for money then Dunn? Dunn also played much better then Frawley not he weekend just past. If we lose Frawley we are also more likely to get a better compo pick then if we lose Dunn. Signing Dunn should be higher priority in my opinion.

How is putting the club first before one particular player selfish?

If an immediate family member of mine passes I am given 3 days paid leave. LiKe Mitch I would be going through a tough time...probably worse and like Mitch it would not be my fault. So tell me why Mitch should be paid 35k a week when the average person in our society would not get more then a few days paid leave for losing a family member.

It remains in the 50m arc if we get a point opposed to going back to the center if we get a goal. If we got goals we may have had less scoring shots consideriny the Saints were on top of clearances.

Unfortunately each time he kicks a goal instead of a point the ball goes back to the center. People seem to forget this but I am pretty sure if wd had kicked a few extra goals the amount of scoring shots we would have had would be less...

I wouldnt rely on Misson to keep us updated on relevant injury information.

We have a superstar and his name is Lynden Dunn. We need to sign him ASAP before other clubs get in this mans ear. He is UFA.

Has this factored in the 1.3m a year to 2 players who are always injured?

We cant afford Danger while we are paying 800k to someone on indefinite personal leave.

How dare you comment on my attitude for posting my opinion, leave your personal attacks to yourself mate. That said support and money are two different things. We struggle to stay in the black and as a paid up member and contributing funds I feel that ues we should support him but paying 800k a year for a player to go on personal leave is not necessary. No one needs 35k a week as "support".

Please dont quote this guy, I have him blocked and dont want to see his posts as all he can do is make personal attacks when he cant justify why Clark should keep receiving payments while away from the club. Fair enough if he were at the club and injured but being away from the club is a different story. My day job gives 3 days paid leave if a member of immediate family dies, after that I would get nothing.

Lets hope if Mitch has no intention of returning that he decides sooner then later so we can start chasing a Patton or Tex to fill the gap.
