  1. Good article that.I'm looking forward to Tomlinson getting homesick. Maybe we can grab him at the end of next year.
  2. It just gets worse for Tigers & Kangas. Should I suggest that one of them would provide the first win to GWS? I know it's early but gee they really look shite.
  3. Just finished watching first half. After FOXTEL saying they have so many cameras following the play. and wont miss anything. They then miss the most basic behind the play incident. Dermie then has to explain what he thinks he saw. (totally amateurish) One thing I have learned from the first half. Tigers are crap and kangas are worse. GO DEES
  4. Aren't they all doing their community visits like all the clubs?
  5. I guess you were waiting on me to get this Locker Room moving. I'm really looking forward to how he goes this year. I think the Pec problem last year was a little worse than everyone expected. This preseason he has been training the house down and is looking like he is heading for AA again. Now on the LG with Garland,Barty and the co captain. It just gives me a lot of confidence in the backline again. We now have a FD with great defensive cred, and a group of good players who could end up being anything. "CHIP" is the link a strong body and pace to match it with any forward.
  6. Danihers Love Child and now adopted by Neeld. He's in the LG now so expect him to play 22 games. (Barring injuries) So all you "Naysayers" get off his back. Yes his disposal hasn't been great, but at least he can get the ball. far better than a player who can hit a target but not get the ball.
  7. Thanks WYL that quote about losses don't hurt has been bothering me as well. You are dead right, his attitude towards losing certainly must change. Forget the fitness and skills, he has got to learn that coming second is not acceptable. If that doesn't happen then the FD will make him learn the hard way.
  8. I think Grimes is in Rehab, because being a co captain now. They need an expert in Rehabilitation to help get the crocks up and running. ha ha ha.
  9. My Heart really bleeds fo a Disgruntled (or is that Dysfunctional) Collingwood. Next please!
  10. Well if you must! But can you get me a coffee?, I'll keep watch for you.
  11. Mitch Clark, Jack Trengove and Jack Grimes. We'll need at least 3 to be up near the top.
  12. Sorry HT but I was probably a little premature as always (wife talk) The Pinned topic was not up when I responded.
  13. I don't know where your heading with this post HT But for a long time I was never a Moloney fan. His last few years once he got over his injuries he has improved out of sight. He has been a loyal demon for years and a great mentor to the young kids coming through. I don't really think he has the leadership qualities needed to captain the club. But I am quite surprised he didn't get in the LG.
  14. Don't feel sorry for Beamer. When the players nominated their choices for the leadership group. The administrators did a spell check and found we don't have a Maloney.
  15. Like everyone else that was there I felt the whole night was very flat. 2 interesting things came out of it for me. Was when they mentioned about our Integrity being challenged and how they reacted. The next was when Neeld mentioned that we would be competitive come Rd. 1. To me competitive is a 4 letter word I've heard too often in the past. Come Rd.1 we want to be more than competitive we want and expect to WIN. That's the culture change I want to hear.
  16. As Free trade is coming in. Wouldn't it be logical to on trade to other clubs as a lure to release one of their good players if they have salary cap problems You just never know, we may pick up a Pendlebury, Goddard or even a Voldermort.
  17. Yes I was there last year,(you wouldn't have recognised me I didn't have my hat on backwards) But he was in a much better space than he was before Xmas. I along with a few hundred other supporters would certainly love to see him there. Here's hoping.
  18. I wish you could do my Tax return. Jimma hasn't been involved in a lot that's happened over the past few months. Don has been the "Go To" man so he could answer any questions. Jimmy would just fumble through it, unless he read from a script.
  19. The Numbers I wore on my jumpers growing up up were 3 Peter Marquis a great strong backman. 6 Bluey Adams pure speed. 9 Dicko. The fastest mark to boot exponent. That group hasn't let me down much over the years.
  20. I signed in to read about Mondays Training and found 40 threads about Cale. In the future if anyone mentions Cale Morton can they start a new thread, so most of us can then ignore it.
  21. I think everyone is missing the point. Players are trained these days to be versatile in a number of positions. Frawley has been training with the forwards so that he will know what the game plan required if for some reason he is required to fill that forward spot during a game or if we have a bad run of injuries and lose Clark, Howe, McDonald, or Watts. As I say Never say never.
  22. I rang the Demon Shop regarding the arrival of the new Jumpers. I was told that they were expecting an announcement of the other Joint Sponsor within 2 weeks. Once that has been announced the sponsors LOGO for the front of the jumper must be approved by the AFL before the jumpers become available. They anticipate that to be 2 weeks after AFL approval. Adding up 2 +2 and I get 4 weeks from Monday when I rang. We may get them about the time of our first Intra Club practice game
  23. Never say never. Best ever CHB one David Neitz to FF Who would have thought?
  24. Year of the Dragon Tomorrow Surely Year of sponsorship must follow. Chinas' Sharemarket starting to climb. It must me all those orders for Melbourne Apparrel being lodged.
  25. AFTER snatching star South Australian schoolboy Jack Viney from under the nose of Adelaide as a father-son selection, Melbourne is eyeing another teenage Croweater. Billy Stretch, 14, is still four years away from being able to play AFL football, but that has not stopped the Demons from tagging him as a future father-son pick. Like Viney, Stretch is the son of a Melbourne gun. His father Steven played 164 games and kicked 71 goals for the club from 1986-93, and was a long-time teammate of Jack's father Todd. "We're certainly keeping tabs on Billy," Demons recruiting manager Barry Prendergast told the Adelaide Advertiser. "We keep an eye on all the sons of our former players, and once they start to become good players in their age group, then we track them very closely. "Billy's in that category now, so he's on our radar. He has a lot of ability, but we understand that there's a lot of water to go under the bridge between now and us drafting him. "Hopefully in a few years, we are in a position to sign him, just as we did with Jack." So I guess by the article that was written in Nov 2010 Then we can expect him about 2014. I don't know whether that is the 2013 draft, maybe some other scribes can clarify.
