Excuse me for being slightly off the topic. Can anyone throw any light on the fact that GWS can ask for any kid that nominates and gets selected in the draft, to give up a dream to go to Uni. Apparently they have told draftees that they must concentrate and train 100% on footy. Is this the norm for all draftees or just another GWS thing?

Hey hardtack It's almost xmas. 3 more weeks before the xmas break for them. Then they'll start introducing game plans based on the roles they want each to play and the fit bodies they have available the 2nd week into the new year. NAB cup starts Feb 25 for us. It's closer than you think

I liked what I saw in WATTS last year, but I have been to training a few times this year and he seems to be struggling. I don't know whether he is dealing with the pressure of having to earn his spot.

I'm thinking Clark to go to CHF Rivers on the bench. Garland to CHB Grimes to HBF until he is totally fit Petterd to FP Watts to FF Jurrah to HFF. All a bit of a raffle at this stage. February might give us a better clue.

In hindsight when you look at the Draft picks available to us at pick 12, it ends up being a no brainer that Mitch Clark was an equivalent to a top 5 pick at least, and ready made. Taggert 85kg already a big body. I'd love to think Sellars will turn out good, but can anyone tell me why he was only given 21 games at the crows under Craig. Yet Craig has been the one pushing to get him. Has he had injury problems or other issues.?

I'm also legends member. I've never met the people in the 5 seats next to me. If they can afford to throw away those sort of $$$$ with the hope of getting a grand final seat. Come up and see me I'll show them an easier way to get rid of their money.

The running started out as a 1k trial 21/2 laps. The next was about 500m followed by about 300m No sprints today. Apparently it was a soft week. I wouldn't do that much running in a week when I played. Running interupted the fags and drinking.

They were all split up into smaller groups and groups sent off at about 20sec intervals. Obviously with the quicker groups sent off first. So it looks like they have classified the groups based on times over the past 3 weeks.

You don't honestly think Gomez and his puppets will allow anyone to touch his brain snap do you? Angry Anderson will change the rules to suit GWS, mark my words. GWS will not be touched for years.

I'd second that. Gysberts was running well and gave more when asked to challenge the leaders. Good sign. I liked the defensive handball strategy, a bit of keepings off really, the idea hoping you can keep control of the ball for 10 handballs without being tackled by the opposition. They did it very well. Gawn looks super fit and to me looks certain to partner Jamar in the ruck. Fitzy was running with the rucks, but Martin seemed to be with the defenders.

A Forward that can play mid or back. Is this part of Neelds plan to be more defence orientated. Tynan and Sellars are also defensive types.

I like the sound of Sellars. A real big body at CHB. We genuinely have needed that. Riv can go back to being the third tall up and floating around reading the play.

Although the players do get a say. They then put their selections up to the FD. But Neeld has the final say. Based on his thoughts about Davey having to shape up and play a role. I don't think he is a Davey fan. It would be strange having a Captain Playing at Casey every week. We have had so much upheaval. A completely new FD. I think Green offers a steadying influence. Davey Grimes and Frawley in the Leadership group for mine.

I guess that means a day off. So the coaching group and Prenders, Harrington and Co. can sit down and work through the list and strategy for Thursday Night.

I firmly believe we should all take a BEX and have a good lie down. If you can get excited by Thursday night then you haven't got a life. Then again if you have a life you shouldn't be responding to this inane post.

Great work Clucka, I have a lot of friends who follow other clubs very few that follow the DEES I have sent this on to them that should really stir up the nest. I just can't wait for the replies from the Filth.
