Although that "best 18" by ralph dosnt look like winning to many games atm, its pretty young which is good, and there is alot of other promising young players left out. I have thought for 6 months or so now that as funny as it sounds we are starting to build some depth, and competition for spots is a good thing. As players mature and get bigger and fitter and stronger that competition will heat up. Add some good young talent and a free agent or 2 and our future looks bright(er)

Since we have better odds of playing finals this year than winning on the weekend, what do we measure our performance against? Is getting done by under x amount of points acceptable? Is improvement out of such and such a good thing? Winng a given set of statistics a must? Really depressing when you go into a game with no chance and you have to look for other signs apart from the score board...

We normally play 1 terrible quater If that was it and we are 9 points down get on the live betting Go Dee's

Great news about Evans, he seems to me a good outside player, havnt seen enough (and cant remember what I have seen) of his disposal but I do remember his first couple of games and just managed to find the ball alot

Agree we are a show and would love a win but not expecting much. Petterd to have a solid game, would love to see something like his 15 tackles in the foward 50 again. But just some pressure and goal sense. Dunno if its fair to expect a best on ground performance but enough for him to hold a spot for a month or so. Sylvia to continue some good form. I think I remember he had a cracker last year(?) when we pumped them over here?

Exactly not fair to compare them, lets try Cox and Jamar and give Jamar a hard time instead

Grimes and Tappy done nothing? Not hearing much about them on the radio, Sylvia running at 46% but at least he is getting his hand on the footy

Sylvia needs to continue improving and bag 3 or 4 if we are gonna win. Garland and Dunn for a couple each and some midfield goals Howe Jones the Jack attack and we will manage... Kicking a winning score does look unlikley though GO DEES

No not at all I agree, I would rather see morton, tappy, blease strauss grimes and trengrove bust our of the blocks for the later end of the season I just wanted to to know if that scenario is true. It would make the "melbourne got the better of the scully" comments hold some real weight. Agreed either way we are going to get some good young talent to the club, it will be the ability to develop them, which IMO we are terrible at...

Im walking around work thinking about that scenario and if we finish on the bottom, we get pick 1 then our compo pick, pick 2? We lost Scully our No 1 draft pick and we could end up with Pick 1 and 2?!?! And Viney as a F/S rule around pick 20? AND the other compo pick in at 12ish Is this correct?

With Jamar locked in and Gawn/Fitz looking the goods (early stages I know but I have faith) and Clark/Sellar good pinch hitters I wonder if big Stef might be worth something to a club that needs a ruckman, a club say with an ageing big man and a couple of young blokes night quite ready, a club that has a few young but hardened mids we might like... Collingwood anyone?

Everyone is assuming we will finish above the 2 expansion teams. If we finish under GWS or GC or both then this wont be a problem, and the way we are playing and the way they are playing its not imposible, wait untill the year is out. we may end up with pick one, compo pick 2 then viney with our high teens pick?

Dosnt Neeld have a points system? Each player has to earn 6 points a quarter where different things are worth points? I guess he will drop any players that didnt get 6 points a quarter, if everyone did then no change? Does anyone know anymore about this system or did I completly make that up?
