Peter Tossol coached our local side Corowa to 2 premierships about ten years ago. His first 2 kicks were goals and his opponent was Mick Malthouse. Apparently Mark Jackson (I may have the wrong player but it was a hot headed power foward) let Tossol know "in no uncertain terms" that the second kick should have gone to him. I thought that was funny!

I can wait till I'm an old dude and some young blokes say "wow did you see Jack Viney play" and I'll say "sit down son and let me tell you about him" Will be good...

Couldnt agree more and I think to elaborate further Frawkey McDonald Clark Dawes is the makeings of a good spine and these are the players demanding selection. The other incouraging thing is the amount of players we can sprinkle around them depending on form/injury/opposition. If blokes like Blease McKenzie Bail Jetta even Watts are made to earn games the team will be better. Heading in the right direction IMO. If we can have a ruckman stand up and force Russian out of the seniors, have another midfielder or 2 stand up with Jones and maybe a dashing HBF the next few years sould be exciting

Just to be clear, are we allowed to google things and research players from the good old days. I have tried not too especially with the first clue or two but I have too now, is everyone else doing the same?

Magner probably too obvious these clues are very tricky but I've got nothing else and I love this game

I think our midfield is our biggest problem but there has been a bit of grunt and a bit of class added and that will take time. Our foward line looks solid with 2 monsters and now a few experienced crumbers. Our backline is solid also with 2 key position players and a few versatile defenders. The thing I think that could help us is a run and carry defender with a long kick accurate kick. Strauss. I think he can cement his spot of a half back flank with this kind of attacking play, if he cant what else can he do?
