  1. its so true. often we see someone take a ridiculous position or make a ridiculous statement in the "heat " of discussion that no doubt at any other time they would not make, but instead of retracting or moving on , they consume enormous amounts of time and energy defending this position. this then turns in to a [censored] for tat that destroys the thread. this exact example is currently happening on another thread. its so clear the poster has "shot from the hip" but now has dug themselves in such a hole arguing "different shades of brown". this is pretty much the biggest thread destroyer there is
  2. I think WYL would have cameron schwa up against that wall too.
  3. Ive found your preferred image, Earl.
  4. Is that you, Michael Moore?
  5. if plugger was playing today id chuck him in the middle at ball ups as a pinch hitting clearance machine!
  6. I normally agree with you WYL but this is a poor post. Trengove was under immense pressure to carry the club he stood up for. When Scully legged it Trenners responded by signing on. No doubt him continuing to play was also political as far as Neeld and co attempting to save their skins. Trengove was a 20yr old caught up in a storm of shite
  7. Trengove is a massive plus for us if he can get up and going. A real talent. the club needs a flag but Trenners, Grimes and Jones holding that cup would be massive.
  8. some people think that if a player walks off the ground in rd 23 as an average list clogger then all we have to do is talk about him all pre season and then in rd 1 he will be a gun. then they scratch their heads wondering why he "didn't come on". Bugg and kennedy were let go for a reason. Melksham at essendon was erratic at best. Viney and salem are very good players. it may come off as negative but i just like to be honest when analyzing players
  9. Roos has been fantastic for the club. have never disputed that. just not sold on last years(2015) trade and draft. the pickings were slim. good players aren't convinced yet. Ive never owned rose colored glasses. always call things as i see it. vince, brayshaw, hogan, vine, vanders, salem, i considered all positive pickups as i observed at the time. oliver, bugg, kennedy, melksham, not convinced at this stage. I've never loved a player just because he becomes a demon, like some do on here.
  10. MFC was a bit like an old woman at a Boxing Day Myers Clearance sale last October. I know its early and maybe ill be surprised. Cant see it to be honest. This time last year and after Vince pick up I could see it. this year not so much. Lets hope I'm wrong.
  11. There'll be more of that this year. List hasn't improved this offseason. Trade week scatter-gun. Not convinced with draft either. not sure too many clubs will say 2015 was a good draft.
  12. Has any club in the history of Australian professional sport had a run of bad luck like the MFC?! Is there any club that has been less able to get all its top draft picks on the park? Has any club had more premature deaths, career ending injuries, club scandals? It could just be a month but seriously what the F%&* is wrong with this club? What did we do ??
  13. Seeing that Watts thread was locked yesterday guys, do you think we can turn this in to our new Jack Watts thread?
  14. Stuie, you're a crap read with a hangover. I realize you're the resident blowhard but give it a rest. you're boring as f*&%
  15. Sounds like its that time of year when everyone has their rose colored glasses on while going over the list. Our midfield is ordinary.
  16. the best summation of the jack watts situation that I've read.
  17. It does make sense as thats how the animal kingdom works unfortunately. Easy for a weak bloke to threaten a woman. Very wrong .
  18. You're right, i should've included it was "in my opinion". Im not a conspiracy theorist but this one reeks of it . Nevertheless I think we should be doing our best to protect the environment for the future. But this, from what I've read is going to be a massive reappropriation of western tax payers dollars, under the guise of saving the planet.
  19. Grimes problem is he doesn't have the core strength to be able to stand up in a contest and assert control over a disputed ball. Too often he is caught doesn't haven't have the physicality to force the contest in melbournes favor. I love his courage though and occasionally does some fantastic stuff
  20. The club has bet the farm on 2016.Biggest year in living memory. Hogan will be fielding serious offers at the end of 2016. There must have been considerable improvement if we are any hope of keeping him. We need improvement so as to attract a free agent and make prestia determined to come to mfc. Every game is going to feel like a final for me. Going to be a long year!!
  21. Pot. Black. But amusing. Thanks
  22. There's no way Melbourne will match any offer for watts next year unless he completely changes his game...can't see it happening. So I think we can be pretty sure, 2016 is watts last year in the red and blue , regardless of his personal career come 2017. Let's enjoy the final year of this most controversial journey
  23. By the way, welcome to Demonland yoSmokie
