  1. Would you like him to ask Roos to coach us in different dialects? What are you talking about?
  2. Dee -luded, I'm more inclined to think that the AFL is selective in the battles it chooses. There have been times, for instance, where GWS has dropped up to 8 players at a time giving them zero chance of performing (except against us). Any established club did that and it would be tanking IMO
  3. I didn't realize you wrote scripts Stuie. But I digress. I am sure PJ has/ is pushing to get Roos to the club. But eventually there is a need to move on based on strong indicators. Short of telling us to f$ck off, he doesn't appear interested at all. Hope I'm wrong but don't think I am.
  4. I take your point. However, whether Hird is either, it still doesn't remove the point that AD may well be talking porkies.
  5. The AFL should have nipped all of this in the bud when West Coke fielded a side of Hulk Hogan lookalikes. But it didn't as it was more caught up in expanding the game and turned a blind eye. Hate Essendon, but I can't help thinking the AFL let all of,this spiral out of control a long time ago. I'll also add, I don't believe all this bullshite about Geelong being squeaky clean. That just mightbe sour grapes but I remember us playing them four years ago and their increase in body size defied belief.
  6. Do you mean because we move on or that we don't Stuie?
  7. Which is the same profession as mine I think.
  8. The one certainty about this IMO is that AD has not come out of it well. I do not believe for one minute that Essendon wasn't tipped off. You may not like Hird but I'm more inclined to believe his version of events in relation to the phone call to Evans than AD's.
  9. There is a point where the club has to move on from Roos. We reached that point three weeks ago when he said 'no'.
  10. I don't think he is. He's an outside runner.
  11. Match winner on his day. And wouldn't be the first player to be over Malthouse. Listening to the way MM spoke about Betts, regardless of accuracy, it said a great deal about Mick being all about Mick. It could well be that Yarran has quickly spotted that self love and wants out.
  12. Maybe on the board. But surely not President.
  13. Old Dee, I knew that was coming. We can do better. You know it and I know it.
  14. And I would have thought 'respected footy journalist' is somewhat of an oxymoron.
  15. The media either ignores a club or stitches it up. This would happen whether Sheehan was President or otherwise. If the selling point is media contacts we are in a heap of trouble.
  16. Yes WYL. Perhaps I'm missing something here but we are talking about the bloke who always looked a little confused aren't we?
  17. We are talking about a man with no presence whatsoever. I do not understand what the benefit would be. Who cares about media contacts!
  18. For F#cks sake. Looking right, then left, then right again. Yes it is sillier than other ideas.
  19. Seriously?
  20. Boyd, Aish and a Blake Acres or a mid who slides to 2nd round.
  21. If we were a successful club he'd just be a blip on our radar. Unfortunately, his departure embodied everything that was going wrong with our club.
  22. Fair enough. I just wouldn't want to be paying massive overs.
  23. Demonstrative, I'm not having a go but I think your last con may be fairly crucial. Not up to it.
  24. Apparently a horrible virus went through the club on Thursday night. 8 blokes were spewing before the game. How's that?
