Tiger players having a sook to the umpires after the siren and fans booing the result sum up the class of that club. Think all non-richmond fans are celebrating that result. As an aside, Gold Coast should strongly consider redesigning their jumper.

2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Nascent replied to TRIGON's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yep, time for someone to take him camping with some co-eds. -
Largely injury related with BB was it not? Had knee issues all throughout last season then had surgery or a procedure done during our pre-season in Feb.

2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Nascent replied to TRIGON's topic in Melbourne Demons
You're still going far too early on this Dr. D. The draft is 5 months away. For reference, in Cals 2020 September form update he had Errol guldon at 15, Jack Carrol at 18 and Zane Trew at 21. They ended up at 32, 41 and 12 in the rookie draft respectively. In his December update just a few weeks from the draft, he had Zavier Maher at 25, he missed out completely. -
Looked a great size and composed. Has a great opportunity to learn off May and Lever to give himself the best chance at making it.

When are the team line-ups for this game announced? 5pm tonight?
-
Not to mention them giving up pick 2 for Lachie Weller and 41. Surely they have smarter trade operators now though.
-
It's a shame but I don't think we had the salary cap space to seriously be in the conversation anyway. I expect we'll be fairly low key this trade period before some money frees up after T-mac and Brayshaws deal expires next year. Even then we'll have to keep some up our sleeve to satisfy Oliver on a long term deal.
-
I assume they will, they apparently did that last weekend.

VFL games are back on this weekend. Unfortunately for our boys the AFL bye means Casey will also have a bye. Shame for our fringe and young players that need some game conditioning and experience.
-
I wonder if we need to give consideration to trade in, or perhaps draft, a young(ish) key position forward. Many on here are crying out for Weideman to be traded while Ben Brown and T-mac both have well known form and injury issues over the last couple years and nearing 30. Jackson isn't really a forward and our only other kpf option that I wouldn't mind seeing (although not this year) is Petty. Georgiades would be fantastic and I can see why Taylor was keen on him during his draft year. Unfortunately Port rarely lose players they want to keep and are also in finals contention so I can't see this happening. Any other suggestions?

Would happily have him on the list and he would fit in beautifully, but reckon a first rounder is steep for a half back flanker that can torch it by foot occasionally. I would put a trade on par with the cost for Hibberd i.e. a 2nd round pick.

You know you're having a bad season when a draw increases your percentage by 3%.

Thanks Jaded, now I'm picturing Jon Ralph giving us live tweets of the time of ruptured membranes and dilation progress.

Wow North, just wow.
-
Next years draft I presume? Will have to be taken at 40+ for us to have first dibs.
-
North simultaneously killing final aspirations for GWS and their shot at a priority pick. Perfect outcome.
-
Damn, looks like I've missed it again.

Does he have a beard though?

Was going to buy one but it doesn't seem to be on sale anymore. ?
-
My memory might be just cherry picking the good but seems to be a great finisher in front of goals. Seems composed with a nice straight kick.

Salem to have an extended rest with the bye and Bowey to debut?
-
I was taking the [censored] demon Andrew. Started subtly at first, kind of like rain. But then surely you noticed the post was golden and smelled of asparagus. (I blame lockdown for my weird posts)

I agree in part, however I believe it's also important for our depth players to understand the system at afl level and, just as importantly, up-skill them in other areas of the ground in case of unforeseen injury. So for me I would do this. Weideman to CHB Petty to CHF Rivers to a Wing Brayshaw back on ball where he does his best work. I don't want to complicate this too much but we should also look at the following for next weeks clash as well. Bowey in for Hunt Salem to replace spargo in the forward half for his finishing in front of goal Spargo to run on ball all game. All can now see his high iq and decision making. Time to put them on display where it should be. Oliver out - have a good two weeks rest son, it's only Collingwood. Lockhart in for hibberd - old hammys are surely going to pop soon. Turner looks a player, reckon we should ease him in against a celler dweller. Ben Brown in, see what Jackson, McDonald, Petty, Brown, fritsch combo looks like. Stuff it, let's throw Mitch Brown in there and see Collingwood deal with all dem talls. Bradtke as emergency sub for game day experience and the lols. Sorry langdon, no spot for you this week. Try not to get hit in the head next time. Jordon out, you've won too many games and it's time to give another kid a go. And Melksham out I guess, because reasons.
