  1. “Never had a problem with my shoulder before. I played my first Big Bash game against the Brisbane Heat at the Gabba, and felt something go in my shoulder throwing," "I ended a year later having a major shoulder reconstruction, rehab for a whole year. Unfortunately, the first surgery didn’t work properly and I was out for a second season in a row. It was a really tough time, and the start to my shoulder problems. "I took a step back and was realistic – I was a right-handed fast bowler, and unfortunately I had so many shoulder surgeries I couldn’t throw properly any more. I had to sacrifice and put down that loss of cricket, which was really difficult for me. “I sort of made the decision to transfer from cricket to AFL. I was training with Melbourne for the first six months. The last session before Christmas, I went into a tackling drill and got tackled by one of the littlest blokes on Melbourne’s list and felt my shoulder kind of die. "I walked into the neurologist’s office – I could see in her face it wasn’t good. I could see in her face and the first thing she said to me was you’ve got 40 per-cent of a shoulder for the rest of your life, and you’ve to retire from cricket and AFL immediately." https://www.sportingnews.com/au/amp/afl/news/afl-2021-cricket-big-bash-league-victoria-melbourne-demons-guy-walker-retirement-injuries/1r4q0eheuw5is10usksqvw49g7
  2. Commentators referring to Kozzies out-of-contract status at least once every round until he re-signs.
  3. Signs are good early. As with all talls we will need patience for him to develop his game. However in his favour is the fact that he is already quite physically developed. Club site has him listed as 97kg and seeing him up close you could easily mistake him for a 3-4th year player due to his size.
  4. You could very well be right. Think Phillipou is going to be a special player.
  5. Riv can certainly roost a footy. What a goal.
  6. Saints 6.10. 46 Dees 14. 9. 93 Edit: Grundy kicks a goal and it's now 46 vs 99
  7. Love how JvR attacks the balls
  8. Didn't cal twomey all but confirm it was Humphrey we were having a crack at? Regardless he looks a serious talent. Edit: just took another mark inside 50, protected the drop zone well and kept Petty out of it.
  9. Wonder if tmac goes back. JvR on the ground now deep forward
  10. Riv starting in the square
  11. Just need to remove the commentary and put the highlights to a half decent soundtrack.
  12. Echoing others thoughts but hunter making an early claim for recruit of the year.
  13. Bowey has been huge, such a smart and skilful footballer. Should cement himself as best 22 this year.
  14. Kozzie is so quick and agile that I feel he is going to be penalised more harshly for holding the balls calls this year.
  15. Try restarting the app, I'm watching it on Kayo. Was one of the first icons on the home screen for me.
  16. A fit BB will make the world of difference for us.
  17. Is there a significant breeze down there for those at the ground. Mic seems to he picking up wind noise on the broadcast.
  18. Hunter impressive early and delivers to McDonald inside 50.
  19. Some media about our 2022 draft recruits for those interested. Edit: they all speak very well and there is yet another pump up for McVee in there.
  20. Not sure about Jefferson, particularly if Brown, McDonald and van Rooyen are fit. For me it would be JvR and Howes most likely with Woewodin, McVee, Laurie and Deakyn Smith hopefully pushing for games as well.
  21. How is Laurie travelling?
  22. Would love an update on how Laurie is developing in your eyes as well as Daniel Turner @dazzledavey36
  23. I'll be surprised if he's not in the round 1 team save for injury/illness.
