  1. Maybe. I would have thought that that wouldn't really have affected who was sub.
  2. I agree. A hugely odd decision. We could all see why he might be brought in, but how they used him on the day was just bizarre. It was almost like something happened along the way that changed their plans, but who knows what.
  3. Yes, but that's what makes it so baffling.
  4. Holy moly. Four changes is a hell of a lot from Roos. Think it's a bit rough to bring Jordie up, give him a stupid role as a sub, then drop him. But perhaps they've realised the error and are just cutting losses. Jamar will be a rest. They also need to find out pretty soon whether Spencer is ever going to make it, so that's not a big deal for mine. Dropping Grimes is an interesting one because there's no real like for like coming in. Will be interesting to see how they line up - perhaps sticking Toumpas back but not playing that lock down role? That wouldn't suit him, I wouldn't have thought.
  5. What the hell else did you expect it to be???
  6. This is spot on and often overlooked
  7. Come on, mods. Shut this rubbish down.
  8. Maybe Frawley is just pretending to be injured to avoid playing on Hogan and getting completely schooled.
  9. I'd say it is the complete opposite. Little club, little media, big smack. Big club, big media, not a lot of punishment. Having said that, you just can't swing an elbow at someone out of nowhere. No amount of big clubness gets you out of that.
  10. No you muppet, I'm saying Dawes and Pedersen can't. Because they can't. Which means we have 3 big, lumbering forwards in a front six, rather than 2. At least Watts has some speed on the ground. We've been complaining all season about being top heavy and the solution from the genius crowd is take a big guy with speed and replace him with a big guy without it, and with even less skill.
  11. Me too, and agree. Very frustrating, but god he cops it from the entire football world...
  12. Do you really think shaming people, or humiliating them in public, spurs them on to 'have a real crack'. I don't.
  13. Yep, Dawes, Pedersen and Hogan in the same forward line. What could possibly go wrong there? Would be fine if more than one of them could take a mark. As it is, the ball will hit the deck 80% of the time and it will be walked back out by any decent defence in the league.
  14. At least he goes to the game every now and then.
  15. They have to be worth supporting. Clark was worth having a go at because he is a top 3 at the club type player. Barry was a rank struggler. Re the bits in bold, yes, great, but he's not even on our list. And we're not throwing a champion or leader. We're throwing a guy who played a handful of average games and walked out on us.
  16. Just watched both of those incidents. They are utterly outrageous. What dogs. If Hodge did that in a pub, he'd be in jail. And Lewis - he knew damn well he was nowhere near that and just smashed Goldstein for no reason at all. Also noticed Mitchell gave someone a clip around the ears early in the AFL's highlight package.
  17. Sorry did I miss the throw back to the heady days of 2013? Has McKenzie been confirmed as a definite starter? Oh Lord.
  18. There's a little, but not much. There's a hell of a lot more of the 'not a leg to stand on', 'don't come running to us' type stuff, and one bore who just can't climb down off that high horse.
  19. Classic head versus heart dilemma, that one.
  20. His career was like watching a car crash in slow motion. Too soon?
  21. I completely understand the dynamics going on in the background. But I can't see him on a list next year, mainly because I don't think he's good enough. We are the only team that would take him, given our history of support, and I don't think he's close to being good enough with the additions we've made this year. So not sure why we would bother going there.
  22. Oh grow a humour muscle.
