Agree on Roos's view but disagree on the rest. They should be judged on how they do their job. If the reward for busting your chops at Casey is a sub role, which you have absolutely zero chance of expanding into a starting role if you smash it, what's the point?

It is all smoke and mirrors - there is no way on God's green earth that Roos will make four changes on the back of the most encouraging win we've had in ages, to fly a whole lot of underdone and/or out of form blokes up to Alice to play in the heat. This is especially so given that doing so will burn guys like Riley, Newton, Pedersen, Jones and Bail, who have worked their bums off and actually all had pretty good games. Laughable. One change, max, assuming Matt Jones goes out. I'd say Jetta in, but even that creates problems because Grimes will have to push into the midfield and I'm not sure that's ideal.

Your constant whining about Bail is very tedious. He actually put in a huge effort on the weekend and kept the pressure up. He might not have had many touches, but he cracked in hard and was hugely important. Everyone gets you don't like him but stop banging on about it.

That Jones hit was brutal and completely unnecessary. Was way off the ball and I'd be amazed if that wasn't looked at.

He turned the tide on his own at least a couple of times. Was great to be able to swing Howe forward, he looked far more comfortable and interested up there. Really went for some marks and took some screamers. Bernie Vince. What can you say? He just loves the big stage and his sealing goal, when he turned to the MCC to celebrate, was just brilliant. Bail was absolutely fine tonight. You don't see it on TV, but a couple of his efforts were huge. Good on him for really getting involved. And Fitzy. Whichever genius gave him a crack down back should have his pay doubled. Gave Boyd an utter bath and was everywhere. Was even better live than he would have looked on TV - he was just everywhere.

Doesn't matter if his frustration boiled over in the first line. The rest of his post is spot on the money. Our brains trust is steadily losing the plot and is far less coherent in what they are doing than at the start of the year.
