  1. So good to have players that the wider competition are noticing. Has been a while (see, eg, Jones being left out of top 50s his whole life despite being a beast). Can't wait to have Petracca back with Hogan, Brayshaw, Salem etc next year. I reckon we're really building and people will sit up and take proper notice soon.
  2. It is all smoke and mirrors - there is no way on God's green earth that Roos will make four changes on the back of the most encouraging win we've had in ages, to fly a whole lot of underdone and/or out of form blokes up to Alice to play in the heat. This is especially so given that doing so will burn guys like Riley, Newton, Pedersen, Jones and Bail, who have worked their bums off and actually all had pretty good games. Laughable. One change, max, assuming Matt Jones goes out. I'd say Jetta in, but even that creates problems because Grimes will have to push into the midfield and I'm not sure that's ideal.
  3. Except the guy who got it over him is a FF/CHF. And I watched the GWS game. And Jesse's was far better. Jaded is right. The selectors are idiots.
  4. Your constant whining about Bail is very tedious. He actually put in a huge effort on the weekend and kept the pressure up. He might not have had many touches, but he cracked in hard and was hugely important. Everyone gets you don't like him but stop banging on about it.
  5. That Jones hit was brutal and completely unnecessary. Was way off the ball and I'd be amazed if that wasn't looked at.
  6. Absolutely cracking game today. Eat a bag, haters. Jesse Hogan is amazing. I love that every time the ball goes near him, something happens or he looks threatening. Just a beast. Watts was fine today and is well worth having in. His pass to Toumpas was just perfect. Speaking of Toumpas, eat a bag again, haters. So! Picket! How do you like them apples!! Hey?! He ran and ran and ran and was really solid. Will be great for his confidence. Heritier looks old and slow. Brayshaw dropped out through the middle, but was absolutely massive in the last quarter when it was there to be won. A star in the making. Dunn, Cross, McDonald, Newton, Garland just did what they needed to. Pedersen - more mobile, dangerous and able than Dawes. I'd be worried if I were Chris, because Pedersen adds three times as much to us. Was enormous today. Riley cracked in really hard when he came on. Loved Garlett's little f you to the Bulldogs supporters behind him when he jagged that goal from the boundary. A bit of mongrel and arrogance that we've missed. Grimes did one or two stupid things but that was far outweighed by his work rate, courage and leadership. Good on you, Grimesy. Vandenberg was just a beast. What a pick up. He turned the tide on his own at least a couple of times. Was great to be able to swing Howe forward, he looked far more comfortable and interested up there. Really went for some marks and took some screamers. Bernie Vince. What can you say? He just loves the big stage and his sealing goal, when he turned to the MCC to celebrate, was just brilliant. Bail was absolutely fine tonight. You don't see it on TV, but a couple of his efforts were huge. Good on him for really getting involved. And Fitzy. Whichever genius gave him a crack down back should have his pay doubled. Gave Boyd an utter bath and was everywhere. Was even better live than he would have looked on TV - he was just everywhere.
  7. Way to tell someone who says something is a rough estimate that he's wrong and, actually, it's really a rough estimate.
  8. It's a pretty good gauge of overall contribution, if a bit of a rough estimate.
  9. Well, that's not what I called you, but at least that response actually responded to the previous post!
  10. I love the way that when people show you up to be a completely inconsistent muppet you just change the subject completely.
  11. Really? That's pretty rubbish. I mean, how many senior people at the club need to rip into him before he gets it?
  12. Was wondering whether anybody would pick that one up!
  13. Never post on this forum again.
  14. Doesn't matter if his frustration boiled over in the first line. The rest of his post is spot on the money. Our brains trust is steadily losing the plot and is far less coherent in what they are doing than at the start of the year.
  15. Just saw the replay of that one hander. What a freakin' superstar this kid will be. Worth all the hype and more.
  16. Why? They are playing at half their usual output and capacity, probably in both cases because of nagging injuries. Doesn't surprise me at all!
  17. Didn't the injury report say 8 weeks or something? Seems a huge layoff for a busted toe.
  18. He was drafted as a forward... Having said that, I agree it would be a huge mistake to move him now.
  19. Why do you even bother? Why not just turn off the internet and wear a hair shirt and get your angst that way?
  20. Excellent, excellent point.
