Very interesting that there is deafening silence on our out-of-contract list. Surely we are waiting to see how much we have to give Cloke before we get moving on that. Given we have to pay 90-something % of the salary cap, and we'd have to pay most of our players overs to get there, why not front load the cr@p out of Cloke's contract, and sign all the rest of our muppets (with a few apologies eg Jones) to something more like what they are worth? With Clark and Cloke front-loaded, there will be plenty of room in 3-4 years to sign up the quality mids we will draft this year to the wages they will hopefully deserve by then. I just can't see how this could be a bad idea.

Ummm that is absolutely factually incorrect. Guilty means that a jury has decided it is satisfied that the evidence proves beyond a reasonable doubt that the accused committed the crime. Not guilty means they aren't. That doesn't mean the jury doesn't think the person did it. Simple as that.

The problem is, if Green is the 10th or 11th player delisted or moved on (and I can think of at least that many who deserve it), are we going to get someone better with pick 1000 in the draft? We are going to have spuds left over in 2013 after the 'cull' anyway, and I'd rather have Green, who can at least provide a bit of leadership, than pick up another Kelvin Lawrence who is 18 and never going to give us anything anyway.

I think its pretty obvious. Sometimes you say some really interesting things, and other times you misfire wildly, for example by saying that censuring somebody for wiping blood on an opponent is somehow political correctness gone mad.

If we don't have many experienced players, which we all keep whingeing about, it makes sense to ask Brad to have another year. We are going to chop a hell of a lot of other players, as well. I'd rather have Green than, say Bate.

Collingwood aren't going to trade these blokes. They don't need top picks, they are firmly in the 'premiership window' and most of their best players are still relatively young. Plus, they have a good history of picking up good players with lower picks. Apart from salary cap reasons, trades like this just aren't going to happen.
