  1. I think there are one or two blood borne diseases other than HIV, which can be transmitted via cuts or, I don't know, wiping blood on someone.
  2. You are absolutely dreaming. I can see 3 who would get a game for Hawthorn - Clark, Watts and Frawley. Maybe Sylvia for X-factor.
  3. The problem is, if Green is the 10th or 11th player delisted or moved on (and I can think of at least that many who deserve it), are we going to get someone better with pick 1000 in the draft? We are going to have spuds left over in 2013 after the 'cull' anyway, and I'd rather have Green, who can at least provide a bit of leadership, than pick up another Kelvin Lawrence who is 18 and never going to give us anything anyway.
  4. This. ^^ Remember how Cloke tore Rivers a new one last year, because Chip had to go to Dawes instead? Same deal here.
  5. I think its pretty obvious. Sometimes you say some really interesting things, and other times you misfire wildly, for example by saying that censuring somebody for wiping blood on an opponent is somehow political correctness gone mad.
  6. If we don't have many experienced players, which we all keep whingeing about, it makes sense to ask Brad to have another year. We are going to chop a hell of a lot of other players, as well. I'd rather have Green than, say Bate.
  7. Kinda sad that on the Facebook page, the club asked "Where would you play our 'ins'" or similar. My immediate response was 'Casey'.
  8. Every time I read one of your trade posts I want to stab my eyeballs out. Just give up already.
  9. Agree to some extent, but it got a bit frustrating for me too when every second thread I opened blind was links to this blog...
  10. Bad day, Biff?? Have to say though, totally agree.
  11. Collingwood aren't going to trade these blokes. They don't need top picks, they are firmly in the 'premiership window' and most of their best players are still relatively young. Plus, they have a good history of picking up good players with lower picks. Apart from salary cap reasons, trades like this just aren't going to happen.
  12. Well, you did say 'No question', like you knew better than all the rest of us...
  13. Has always been, and always will be, a dirty b@rstad. Just disgraceful - 'fairest and best' indeed.
  14. The next time we'd need to deal with his old man would be when Cloke was 30, seeking a 1 year extension...
  15. I read the thread tite and thought 'You have got to be shi^%&ing me'.
  16. Going after Cloke is an absolute no-brainer. Firstly, one of our biggest failings is getting through half forward. Can you imagine getting used to Jack Watts passing off half back, spotting up Cloke at CHF, who then wheels around and bangs it into Clark? Not to mention, can you imagine how berserk Clark will go against the SECOND best defender on each team? That thought actually frightens me. There aren't any star mids going around, so why not go after what is available? We can load up on guns mids in the draft, rather than via FA. Secondly, in terms of $$, we have heaps to spend. If anybody is worried about cap issues with our potential stars in a few years, I say let's cross that bridge when we get to it. You never know, at that point we might actually be in contention and they might be willing to cop a bit less. Cloke allows Howe to play in the midfield permanently and Watts would never need to play forward again. Garland and Rivers go back to where they belong. I'd take the known quantity of Cloke over the 'Cook will be a gun, just give him time' stuff any day of the week. Why are we even discussing this???
  17. Think this is just about spot on. Maybe Bennell, not Bate, but that's about it.
  18. Interesting. Of that list now that we are at risk of losing, I think only Jones, Blease, Cook, Stauss, Howe, Jurrah, Davis and Rivers are really key. It wouldn't be the end of the world if we lost any of the others...
  19. When, hopefully, their value will be much higher... I don't think its a bad thing to lock away the core for 3 years.
  20. We were an out and out rabble today. Even when we were well in it, in that first quarter, there were so many stupidly basic skill errors that cost us. It just kills us when we have a player on, and someone kicks it over their head, or into the man on the mark, or gives away a dumb free kick. It was just constant all day, and it is no wonder we don't score when we just BUTCHER all our opportunities. And I'm not usually one to complain about umpiring, but wow. That was probably the most ridiculously umpired game of football I have ever seen. They should have been wearing clown suits, not green t-shirts.
