Murphy is useless and Mundy is no longer required given our backline looks its healthiest in years and years.
-
You must be the worst judge of junior talent to have graced these forums. Well done.

Why is Watts risky ?
-
I couldn't care less. PS: you missed the 11 goals he kicked for Brighton earlier in the year ?
-
I've seen Watts 'live' now 3 times. He's all class. He's fast, moves beautifully, his coach David Dickson at Metro says he's the best mark he's seen at junior level, he has superb kicking skills and at 194cms he's the best mover through traffic you'd hope to see. Another poster on here that rates his own opinion very highly says that "he's possibly the best decision maker I've seen and that it's virtually impossible to tackle him. Unlike Judd, he doesn't break tackles, his opponents can't lay a hand on him". The fact that you think he'll take too long to develop and that he had 5 kicks when you saw him means nothing. Some people look for far more important aspects of a footballers makeup when they're judging junior talent. Although I accept that deeper thinking or analysis may well be beyond your current capabilities.

Schwab declines CEO role and other things

And we got 17 for Farmer, although admittedly we weren't happy about it. -
Cale Morton - Rising Star nomination

You're the most underwhelming poster I've seen on Demonland in my 7 years of reading and 6 years of posting. Does my opinion matter as much to you as yours does to me ? -
Thanks for the update. Kids at junior level often get to play in different positions which is great for their growth. He played CHB last week. It wouldn't help him if he was stuck at FF for months on end. He'll end up as a CHF I suspect, but he has the pace, skill, and evasiveness to be a mid. He's an amazing prospect.

What most people overlook with Sylvia is his lack of footy nous. He just doesn't have a great footy brain. Yes there's undoubted ability, but Addam Maric has shown in 2 games how much smarter a footballer he is. Maric made decisions in his second game of footy that Sylvia is incapabale of in over 60. It's one of the main reasons he'll never be a star and why he'll never reap much in a trade. He is what he is, and that's 'handy' at best.

Why would anyone who had a modicum of sense even pose the question ?

West Coast play Hawthorn and Geelong in their final 2 matches, so they'll only win one more at best.

Flippant: frivolously disrespectful, shallow, or lacking in seriousness; characterized by levity: The audience was shocked by his flippant remarks about patriotism. Your first two posts have added nothing to the forum. Unfortunately you don't get them back.

Yeah, nah.

An intelligent post that's probably wasted around here. Our recent performances have lulled many into an unrealistic view of where we currently sit. We will keep getting better, but there will be bumps along the road. Ten players last tonight won't be in our best team, or on our list, in 3 years. I'm looking forward to watching this club evolve.

Says more about you than them.

I'll vomit if he evers plays for the MFC again.

Look for the other thread on Brown. This has been done and dusted and anyone that understands our list, Brown's body, and the history of ageing key forwards, knows it's a silly suggestion.

You really are a [censored], you illiterate old fart. A 10K donation (not pay cut) after tax is a phenomenal gesture from a 22 year old player. I doubt that he's on more than $200-250k due to the age he signed his first real contract. To even go down the path you've chosen shows your complete lack of perspective. It also demonstrates how this young man has a far greater understanding of this club's significance and what it means to most of us.

My sentiments exactly. Well done Barrass. Glad you've shifted your position from '96.

I see no reason why Grimes shouldn't be given a taste of AFL by round 22 if his form warrants it. In fact I like the idea. It will be a fantastic way to end a frustrating season for him where many of his peers have had their first taste of AFL. It would be a great reward for all the hard work and frustrating moments he's had to endure - if his form justifies selection, and make summer that bit more enjoyable. Round 1, or 22 should make no difference. I'm sure that Maric will benefit from the games he's played. Some learned supporters told me at Sandy a few weeks back that Maric wouldn't be given a game until next year. Now we can all see that he'll be better for the run. This idea of deliberately holding him back until next year regardless of whether he's quite capable of playing is anachronistic.

I think it reflects the fact that after consecutive finals series from 04-06 we, as a club, overrated our list and retained too many players that were on good coin for too long, ie Bizzell, Ward, Godfrey. Not to mention Pickett's Super. We thought we were at 11pm when in fact we were at 3am.
-
I've been told that Lovell is staying with Sandy.

When one considers that we had 8 players take the field with less than 20 games experience it augurs well. Our average games experience was 63 compared to Essendon's 97. Add Petterd, Grimes and Frawley together with 3 top 20 picks in what's considered a superb draft then it's far from the doom and gloom predicted by opposition pundits and media 'experts'. With trading and the preseason draft to come we could be in great shape moving forward by year's end.

You've made 2 posts today that I completely agree with. I'm going to lie down now.
