  1. No they won't.
  2. And in passing while just interviewing Ju$$ on the FS at the Scum's B&F, Hutchison stated that Carlton are the "overwhelming favourite" to secure his services.
  3. Still skinny but starting to develop into his frame: http://www.gettyimages.com/Search/Detail.a...amp;id=80888934
  4. Below is a possibly biased synopsis from a Freo supporter. Fwiw, I agree with him and believe that we must do all that we can to secure his services. I'd give pick 19 to get the deal done. And at the bottom is a photo link when he was drafted. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FREO guy vvvv Most clubs had doubts over an anorexic looking 204cm player ever making it to the required physical level. Turns out he was eating like a horse and was at the end of a recent growth spurt. The thing Fremantle liked about him was his excellent endurance. Was elite amongst potential draftee's and beat many players smaller than him. Beep test from memory was 13.1. Came to the club and put on 10kg over 1 preseason. Started in the WAFL reserves and was clearly too classy and found himself in the senior side after a handful of games. Was way ahead of development. The club had signed him on a 3 year contact from the start given where he was starting. By the end of his debut season he was a regular at WAFL level. Still looked skinny as a rake. Preason 2, manages to put on another 10kg. Now into the high 80's. Still looked skinny but started to dominate in the WAFL. Justin Longmuir retired after 1 game in the 2007 season. Warnock got his chance mid way through the season with some stella form in the WAFL. Subsequently Sandilands goes down with injury and Warnock is left to lead the ruck in his 2nd season at the club. (refer back to that picture again). Surprisingly he does exceptionally well. In games where Cox was meant to dominate, Warnock is clearing the ball and gathering possessions. He has his best game for season 2007 against Carlton. 16 possessions and 16 hitouts. His most impressive stuff is when he chases down midfielders who try and go around him laying some big tackles. Very fast off the mark. Also he has more finesse than Sandilands in the tap work. Fremantle fans get overexcited and start claiming it'll be hard for Sandilands to get back the lead ruck. Preseason 08 rolls around. He hurts his lower back. Gets games at the beginning of the year when he wasn't ready. Performs poorly and is dropped. He is now playing WAFL at West Perth. Mark Seaby, Kepler Bradley and Adam Campbell all playing their. So at best he's getting 50% time in the ruck, sharing the duties with Mark Seaby. This when all the rumours of him leaving start. Eventually finds form and is brought back to the senior team. Does well in combination with Sandilands and eventually hurts his shoulder. His season ends early for surgery. Here we are. He's grown 2cm taller, he's now 206cm. Weighs in the mid 90's but is still shy of a mature body. Probably needs to shade a 100kg before he could bang bodies regularly with the top rucks. He's got the same armspan as Sandilands and a pretty good leap. From the last 5 drafts how many ruckman would be classed better than Warnock: 2007 draft: Kreuzer 2006 draft: Leuenberger 2005 draft: ??? 2004 draft: Ivan Maric (only recently hit form) 2003 draft: ???? http://www.gettyimages.com/Search/Detail.a...amp;id=55828076
  5. And you need to be told ? Carlton are clear favourites as we speak. Can we change his preference ? I hope so.
  6. Just like many Zebra supporters couldn't give a stuff about the Dees I've never given a stuff about Sandy - even though I've shivered down at TBO on many occasion. Now the alliance is broken I couldn't give a stuff whether they win or lose. Oh for the days of Sunday arvo watching Dandy and Frosty Miller and Big Eddie.
  7. That's my definition of an AFL player that's not up to AFL standard. Can't Rate A Player CRAP
  8. Cyril easily.
  9. The only thing "shattering" is that they were crap players. There's company in numbers though.
  10. I have to say that I'm wrapt that the season is over. By instinct I tend to think the best of people and I usually scoff at the nuff nuffs that quickly blame the coach, but it's hard to defend Bailey. He obviously instructs the players to NEVER kick to a contest and I'm sure he wants us to play like Geelong and Port (at their best), but what transpires is reactive football from players that seem devoid of flare and too scared to make a mistake. Bailey may be a ripping coach, but how the f... would you know ? Today was one of my greatest lows since 1981. The team didn't try. There was no intensity whatsoever and the coach simply has to wear some of it. Presently I hate football. The way we play is terribly boring. It's just a shocking spectacle. I hope things change next year cos I'd never have thought I'd question whether it's worthwhile bothering to turn up.
  11. Put the current version A suggestion next to it, so there's a comparison.
  12. True, but to give a reasonable example, if we score 105 and they score 90 then we'll remain just below West Coast.
  13. Correct. It can vary slightly, but we can afford to win by up to 15 points.
  14. You should be thanking me for providing his username. Anyway...no worries.
  15. OK I read 'Coldawg's' comments a couple of years back. They were no big deal.
  16. Why don't you try the first post by the OP.
  17. Surely, even you would understand that they're very different types of players at this early stage of their careers ? Btw, enjoy watching Grimes tomorrow, as I know that his late start to the year has caused you considerable angst.
  18. One has to admire Bailey's consistency - within reason. He's claimed all season that players will be picked on form. Caroll, by all reports, played very well on the weekend and gets his call up whilst Bate and Dunn feel the wrath. If he dropped all the duds there wouldn't be a team. I have high hopes for Grimes and reckon it will be third time lucky. 1. Bell for Woewodin - fail. Bell isn't up to it. 2. Dunn for Jolly - fail. Dunn isn't up to it. 3. Grimes for Johnstone - ? As I said, I have high hopes. PS: Carroll is a spud who I hope never plays for us again. But I can understand the decision - unfortunately.
  19. It's been announced today that it's his farewell game.
  20. Quite ironic that the player we chose with the pick we got for Travis debuts in the same round that Travis gets dropped.
  21. I love the monogram in B and stuff Carlton as it's older than anything from their club. That said, I hate the white jumper.
  22. I've just heard a Whisper that he's definitely in All the nay sayers on this thread can soon apologise for their lack of vision.
  23. If you want real enlightenment read post # 40 on this thread written on August 7 some 3 weeks ago.
