  1. It is but we have certainly had a long summer, it’s high 20s all week. 4.20pm WST Sunday should be perfect for footy. West Coast will be up for a challenge at home, but if we play as we have in the last couple of games outside of that first quarter vs Carlton, we should win
  2. A loose man behind the stoppage is not a problem in the wet, most teams try and surge it forward by any means in the wet and by putting more numbers up to the stoppage you run the risk getting caught inside. Levers second half display also puts your theory to bed he was very good taking intercept marks as he does in the dry. Hot start where we were beaten at the CBDs Carlton got an unusually high number of goals from Centre clearances last night
  3. McGovern and Kemp coming back in helped as did unaccountable Williams going out
  4. 6.Lever 5. May 4. Oliver 3. Gawn 2. Windsor 1. Petty
  5. Yes I can see the slingshot quick through the corridor movement were looking for setting up deeper than pressing up and locking it in with repeated entries as our only plan. I really like it, looking forward to 25 in a similar vein to seeing us develop our team defence in 20. But you never know we may progress quicker than expected
  6. I actually am thinking towards seasons end in terms of just show me something (I think we’re actually we’re actually working towards to be in place by seasons end) to make go yep I can see it. The result whilst I want to win is secondary
  7. Run and carry and a couple of elite kicking options from back half is the key. Being able to hit darts on the 45 to open the corridor or 50m fat side transition on rebound changes everything with the new game style. Lever trying that corridor kick against Richmond in the first half is an example of how it doesn’t work
  8. That was the main swimmer Mack Horton called out but the bulk of the group who were the subject of the article of the article which came out last week were tests from the Chinese qualifiers in Feb 2021 and some of those won medals in the Olympics 6 months later https://www.foxsports.com.au/olympics/china-swimming-doping-scandal-stabs-athletes-in-the-back/news-story/32b85a5890972b5a46374c3e975d01cd
  9. You’ve answered the question and highlighted what I was saying those swimmers tested positive in 2021 and the findings are being released now
  10. My god there are some dumb conspiracy theorists on this site There’s no precedent to look back on in world sport, OH Wait
  11. Doesn’t to me, Rioli matter was the same as were other matters under WADA in other sports. We are in the predicament with a player down because of one person only and it’s not something I will forget nor will the FD, who I understand started down the road of setting minimum standards before the positive test came to light
  12. 6. Lever 5. Gawn 4. Turner 3. May 2. Rivers 1. Langdon
  13. Bank the points and continue to evolve. Some positives and plenty of room to improve.
  14. Yes at the right price thought he really stepped up last season but like the rest of the list have taken a step backwards this year with the rest of the group. Think they are a bit rudderless in their defensive capabilities and focus across the board.

Exactly, everyone taking what Kane Cornes suggested as gospel
  16. I started to type but after reading other responses to other posters I decided no point People see and believe what they want and clearly not the big picture from an overall perspective not just limited to Melbourne Have a nice day
  17. Lions were coming off Bye 8 day break 6 day break Dees 7 day break 5 day break 7 day break 3 games in 23 days vs 4 games in 19 days. So whilst we won’t overlook the fundamental errors, I believe it’s the 4 game streak and we would have set ourselves mentally for the 2 Adelaide games. No excuses but consider it was a factor
  18. WA just named their state 18s, Dan Curtin’s younger brother Cody named, raw but one to watch for 2025
  19. Not to mention he opens pockets/ leading lanes on top of forward pressure which effects their possession from D50 game, he hurt us and I hope they let him know Stupid no matter what way look at it
  20. Yeah nah, don’t give it any air time and let the players put it into the memory bank is how it should be dealt with
  21. Lions were coming off Bye 8 day break 6 day break Dees 7 day break 5 day break 7 day break 3 games in 23 days vs 4 games in 19 days. So whilst we won’t overlook the fundamental errors and issues let’s not pretend we weren’t looking a little flat and the above didn’t play some contributing factor
  22. He’s very talented, although the big growth spurt in the last two years has seen him virtually miss 2 seasons and he has just played 3 in the WAFL Futures(u/16). With time out and growing rapidly lost mobility but reckon he’ll grow into the body now. Both older brothers mobile for their size. This is him #86 at the beginning of the clip https://www.facebook.com/stories/104966548301236/UzpfSVNDOjExMjI4Mjc3MzIyOTcxNDk=/?view_single=1&source=shared_permalink&mibextid=W9rl1R
