I don’t think he means all at once, Mcvee was a nobody this time last year, Bowey was 5 games winning a flag and I dare say whilst Hunt was in our best 22 Bowey offered us far more with his ball use. Teams who fail to turn over their group get passed by not to mention the best side changes from week to week depending upon opposition, tactics and conditions -

I’m sorry but it does if you don’t regularly introduce younger players. It comes very quickly if you don’t constantly turn your list over and they all start to plateau around the same time. -

It doesn’t have to mean that at all, a few fresh faces can rejuvenate the list very quickly -

Because when you don’t you end up falling off a massive cliff like West Coast and similar to the Dees when we didn’t turn the list over in Danners latter years -

I’d say when Gus put us 5 points up with a minute to go in the 2021 GF and Bevo failed to send a runner out telling English to hit down and in close, playing a sweeper and lock it in at all costs trumps it by a fair way -

Sensible post with a long term view as opposed to many who think if we don’t win it in 2024 that’s it for a decade -

Stop talking logic, the naysayers want to feel important. These things are so hard to win, we’ve given ourselves good chances the last two seasons. Overload and wear and tear injuries hit us in 2022 and we learned from that with our player/load management in 2023 to give ourselves a good shot at it. What happened to Petty and Melksham really hurt us heading into finals and there was nothing we could do about that. The significance of those two missing out to our forward structure can not be understated especially against Collingwood and tying up Moore but such is life. Fagan and Hinkley would love 1 so posters are comparing Apples and oranges as usual -

You can’t win, those calling for Oliver to be there to make a statement are the same who say words and statements in pre season means little, it’s all about peering on game day and in particular at the pointy end of the season- 266 replies

You’ll find that would be very much tongue in cheek, well at least from Scotty Cummings. Our boys played together when the family moved back to Perth in 2022 and they speak fondly of Melbourne. They loved their time there and love getting back over there.

Welcome aboard Koltyn, looking forward to watching you in the red and blue

Yep agree he’s going to be a gun and whilst I don’t think they’re as bad as many think I’m also aware their potential to move up the ladder slightly next season is based on getting good seasons out of McGovern, Yeo, Darling, Barrass and Allen. 3 of those have one good season left in them. I really rate Hewitt and Ginbey is a really good culture maker with Long showing snippets of talent, but they really need to increase the amount of good quality young players coming through

Curtin did his hammy in the Colts GF and played out the game, but he ain’t one of us so we welcome Caleb and Koltyn

Ffs it’s been widely reported he wanted to be with family and there was logistical issues with family members travelling over from regional WA. We’re in the beginning of our harvest in WA which also would have played a part, but let’s let MFCSS override several legitimate reasons

They get Scott Welch’s boy via FS next season. Looks fairly handy so wonder will they look at packaging some first rounders next year for a top pick before Welsh gets nominated or to target a ready made player like Petty
-
I suspect Clarko’s pitch is for an Eagles pick swap
-
Not this close to the draft, Twomey is usually pretty accurate with his top 10

My thoughts exactly re Petty

You need to go via Perth to get to Esperance
-
My thoughts are we’d have to get their F2 back. For this deal to happen you’d imagine Hawks have decided on Curtin over Watson and it will happen on the night if North take Duursma after Mckercher
-
It says he flew to Perth, before catching a light plane to Esperance
