Read my lips says Josh Mahoney
Pennant St Dee replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Well if he was serious we up the offer and don't have to trade anything next season FCS the glass isn't always half empty -
Thank Christ the majority of you lot weren't around in the trenches in WW1 and fighting off the northern invasion in WW2. I have never seen such a group of weak lily livered defeatists. Oh why me Every cloud has a silver lining look at Brisbane last season when a large group of their players wanted out

Mcartin and Wright are only rated highly because this years draft is not great on talls, there is plenty of depth with midfielders but very few standout A- grade mids at this point. But as history tells us there will plenty of good players from this draft in the 2nd and 3rd rounds

So you all have faith in Roos but don't back him to use picks 2, 3 & 23 wisely Yep sounds right FMD Not everything was bad about season 2014, say what you like we did improve and there were many good signs Toward the end Viney looked cooked and Tyson was tiring somewhat, they will continue to improve their tanks next season Toumpas - whipping boy to many but good decision maker and has nice skills Kent - improved tank and will get some rotational stints through the middle along with Salem ( i have no worries on this kid) Garlett - going to be a big bonus not only his crumbing skills, but his ability to provide forward pressure JKH has some talent but forward pressure not at the same level as Garlett at this stage We will get Brayshaw will get some game time next season but will be managed, who we take with the other pick no idea but I think Petracca will be gone as I expect pick 4 & 7 to the Saints now for Pick 1 Riley showed signs wont judge him until the end of next season, Michie who I don't mind is in the same boat Lumumba whilst not my favourite person provides some run off half back Hogan any time out on the park will be an improvement and anyone who has seen this kid knows we have something here When trade period ends we will off load some more and some delisted free agents will be brought in, don't discount Robinson being brought in as a short term fix for midfield depth, DH he maybe but he knows how to hit a contest hard and opposition players are aware when he is hovering

Makes sense if we have salary cap room why not move them on and draft in some kids with late picks or mature age VFL/WAFL/SANFL in their place. There are a few who just aren't going to make it
-
Steve use your common sense, we aint going to trade Pick 2 & 3 for Kennedy alone Sydney are that close to a flag, really would you trade out your best midfielder, look at their midfield without Kennedy not really big enough to match it with Freo and Hawks Balmey who would know has already kiboshed the story of Collingwood making the HL/MC/TV trade messy it's agreed to will be done
-
Why don't you keep your powder dry, didn't you jump the gun last Wednesday
-
Would want to be getting more than Joey Kennedy for picks 2 & 3, we would be wanting another player in return possibly Sam Reid who was discussed earlier in the year. He might be an AFL gun but really we are giving up a lot for him and I believe Pick 2 or 3 & 23 would get it done

Gunstan, the Hill brothers, Lewis Taylor, Jake Neade, Jack Martin, Lachie Whitfield, Ballantyne, Zorko, Michael Walters, Kane Turner all seem to be doing okay and I am sure there are many others out there on AFL lists -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HERITIER LUMUMBA

Still may get some talent Wright,Lever, Laverde, Ahern, Durdin plenty of good players have come outside the Top 4 -
Was at the game and steam was coming out of my ears, Bennell outmuscled him on occasion and went harder to the contest, that is saying something because I don't rate Bennell as a hard or strong player who is willing to put his body on the line

I think we have found the source of where MFCSS started to incubate

As I have said I'm disappointed Trengove has been put up for trade and IMO Watts should be traded before Trenners. Watts had minimal if any improvement last year and really it just isn't going to happen, he just doesn't have the desire to make it at this level
-
Lets hope they are Richmond, Blease and 23 for pick 12 and we keep Trenners where do I sign
-
They are at the moment as others have said based on junior form and remember just how good we looked in 2010 we looked to have a great balance of experience with youth was it Bruce Mcevanney who said " They are going to be something" about the Dees Scully and Trenners complimented each other really well in 2010 and Trenners kicked on in 2011, but Scully had made the decision to move, whilst the club made some shocking decision both on and off the field. The only difference I see with Brayshaw/Petracca and Trengove/Scully is neither Scully or Trenners were clearance kings, on what I have seen in Brayshaw he has the potential to be very good around the clearances. Trenners strength was he had footy smarts and was very quick with his decision making around the middle of the ground and had a good tank to accumulate. Trenners was also a good mark for his size hence the comparisons and hopes for him to be another Bartel. He has been crippled by a foot injury since 2012 and burdens placed on him in regard to the captaincy and also Neelds obsession with turning him into a negating player. Scully was just a running machine who accumulated possessions and ran all day. For a so called gun midfielder though he had little impact on the scoreboard and was very much outside. Neither of Scully or Trenners had explosiveness in what I have seen in Petracca and he has power which is only going to get better, I loved the hunger I saw in him live and he has a desire to hurt opponents and also has the ability to impact games with his explosive power to break away from backs and kick goals. So we could end up with an A grader and 1 of Brayshaw and Petracca or we could end up with both, whatever decision we make I'm sure the drafting hindsight genius's on Demonland will complain if we miss out on either of those players and they show great signs at whichever club drafts them
-
That he is but he must also consider by getting in older players and getting us a few more wins over two seasons only to miss out on two kids who could end up being guns and seeing us and his chosen successor fall backwards would not look good either. I don't see us giving up 2 & 3 unless we have some absolute guns coming in which I struggle to see with just those two picks even Pick 12 added to those picks isn't going to get us 2 guns IMO
-
Love his workrate but IMO Treloar is just about ready to enter the elite bracket in the next 2 to 3 seasons, Shiel is also a gun. I believe Sloane has reached his ceiling

+ 1, big thanks and much appreciated for us Dees who live outside of Victoria

Really don't want Jack to go but Point 2 I can nearly live with once the second part is not true. Not because of Watts either as I would have him gone before Trenners As I have said many times I do not want Beams at all, I'd rather use pick 3 on Brayshaw and use Pick 2 & 23 to try and get Shiel and Greene
