Your not missing anything. We need to delist 1 more player. The major discusions points on some threads have been whether it is worth paying out Evans contract and delisting or delisting either Evans or Trengove and promise to pick them up as rookies.

Oh yeah? What makes you think that?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN NEWTON

Yeah.. this was posted already in this thread on page 2. -
Its a strange perception that a lot of us have. 193cm is bare minimum for a key forward. 194cm is great. Reality is that its only 1cm. If he was 192cm I'm sure a lot of us would say he is too short. Chris Dawes is 193cm and seems on the smaller scale, while N.Riewoldt is listed as 193cm and seems a lot taller than Dawes. Or is that just me?
-
I would too. Not now that we got Garlett though. Win!
-
He was only 191cm.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN NEWTON

How is this possible? What is stopping us (or any other team) from offering a 2nd year player a huge contract to reject a contract from their current club and then sign with us as a free agent? -
What's the point of putting him on the rookie list compared to putting him on the long term injured list and promote another in his place?
-
I think your reading way too much into this.
-
isnt he saying the same thing that you are?
-
No way. I wont be happy. Need to keep at least 1 of our 2 best picks.

Potential Trades [Warning: Reading this thread may self-destruct]

Good. Im surprised we havent discussed him more on here. Malthouse is doing the same thing Neeld did and driving decent players away. If we can get him back to his best form for a cheap trade it will be a massive win. Similar to us losing Martin to Brisbane -
Yeah. But the two parties who are going to deny the move the most would be our club (no more leaks) and Dangerfield. So, continue on mega thread!

Grand Final Sprint - Last chance for glory in 2014
BAMF replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
At least they timed it this year! 11.1 is super quick. I know the tassie kid who just clocked 10.44 Anything under 11 is elite. Anyone know Dangerfields best 100m time? -
I'm not happy that the hawks won so easily. Would have been great if it was a close game or is Swans had won. You guys are a bunch of wingers. It's the grand final. I hated that Hawthorn won, but was blown away by how good they were. They had winners all over the ground. Everyone played there role. I bet most of you dont turn up to etihad when we play.

He cant do anything officially until trade week begins.

Jon Ralph wrote that article. The same Jon Ralph who said Goodwin was 100% going to be Adelaide's next coach at the exact time that we announced he would be ours. He forms his opinion on what could happen and then prints it. It got as much weight as me saying that Dangerfield is a demon. Zero.
-
HA! Yes of course... it all makes sense. The club knows that we have Dangerfield all tied down, but need to keep it a secret! They then get Bernie Vince to sign up to Demonland as 'Party Boy'. Bernie gives us the good information regarding Goodwin a few weeks early. Demonland followers then believe that 'Party Boy' is good for info and take his word that nothing is going on with Dangerfield..... I smell Paul Roos all over this one. Well played Paul.... Well played indeed.
-
Geez. We could pick up a few of them and rookie list the a few of the others.
-
Pretty sure Nudge and Chilliboy are one and the same. If they are not then they sure had an uncanny knack for coming up with a heap of likely and unlikely trades. They both would threaten to take their bat and ball and go home if 1 person dared to question anything. Even if the rest of us praised him no end.

Really? Bulldogs midfield is screaming out for some pace. Tutt has pace in spades but can't break into the team. His decision making is truly terrible. -

No love for Fitzpatrick? I wasnt a fan when we drafted him, but we have put a solid amount of development into him and he is only just ready to start producing. I wouldn't be giving him up cheaply. Also, I think we will be getting Stretch for our 3rd round pick.
