I have to admit that by Monday I had already watched a lot of football and wasn't nearly as excited as I usually am. Yeah it was a dour struggle. Roo's wasn't impressed that we only kicked 3 goals. He was not happy with the ball movement into our forward 50. So yes we are very defensive and a bit boring now, but its not the end result. Things will get better. If I was a neutral fan I would have hated it.

Its because goals were so hard to come by and they got 3 from soft frees We got plenty of soft frees too. But the ones they got really came at a bad time. And more importantly, they converted.

Its pretty sad when I think how much better it would have been to have Blease in his spot. Would have provided some sizling runs, given us momentum broken the lines. Yeah he would have put in some weak ass defence too, but might have provided a spark. Is there anything worse than getting a player from another team, paying him big bucks and getting little in return? I mean, if we had played Blease, Nicho or Toumpas they might have spudded it up a little. But at least they would be our spud and not some other teams reject.

Looking at the stats. How good are the doggies at tackling? No wonder we couldn't break the game open. Griffen - 15 tackles Libba - 14 tackles Macrae - 11 tackles Boyd - 10 tackles They are huge numbers.

Salem? Really Jaded? 3rd game. 3rd time sub. No it wasnt anything to do with Salem. We should have been in front before he even got on the ground. We still lack leadership.

This will be a hard loss. Bulldogs do not deserve to win. We simply don't have enough match winners. No one who can step up that extra notch and pull us over the line.
