You heard him say this? -
Pretty sure it would have been because we received a firm no from Dangerfield's manager. We are paying 100% of our salary cap? Jeez... I hope we are front ended to the max. Otherwise we are paying waaaaay over.

Mitch Clark's 6 goals - how ... 'depressing'.

I agree WYL. The cover ups and saving face stuff done by the AFL really pisses me off. -

My feeling is he was forced to leave by the AFL. Just a feeling. But there is more to this story. But yes. He will play his best for them. The [censored] thing is how it will get played out in the media that geelong brought the best out in him when we all knew how good he was. -
When was the last time this happened?

2012 Nab cup round 2. Melbourne defeated Collingwood by 9pts. We got belted by the hawks the following week by 79pts. Another touch up followed from Port the next week. That was the year we got belted by Brisbane in round 1. There were many tears.

Seems like we have run out of gas with 5mins to go towards qrt time. I'm hopefull that the boys might settle down a bit after half time. Playing so rushed at the moment. Always kicking to a player under pressure. -

Yeah.... but what about when we win? I friggin love this place after a win. -
Meh. I dont believe it was his choice to leave us. We were lucky we got decent compensation. I wonder if we will ever hear the true story.
-
Thats right. He is an excellent back up first ruck. Would be handy on our list though..... Whats the deal with Neeld getting the Kent pick right? What input did he have?
-
Damn! That is a deep burn! Nice new avatar.
-
Meh. 1 game. Hawks were almost playing there box hill team. I think Chip will be in for a good year.
-
Putting emotions aside for a moment. Its a no. Why not target someone who will make a difference? With emotions involved, he can get stuffed. Thread title needs to be changed. I also thought Tmac was injured.
-
The truth is, anyone who is out of contract this year will be under the microscope. We pruned our list very heavily last year. There are going to be some very hard decisions at the end of this season.

You must have a short memory or have only found demonland.com in the past few years. We have been looking for a scapegoat for injuries for years. Bodhan Babijczuk was the previous scapegoat. Type his name into the demonland search bar and see the wild, baseless accusations flow freely.

I expect for Bartlett to try and get the best man for the job.
-
I'm just guessing here, but I would say that Jeff wanted to stay in Melbourne which reduced the amount of teams that he could possibly go to. He is raising a family here right?
-
They have a heap of good young talent in waiting. They will really be back in force in a few years if they play their cards well. Next year though? They have lost Beams. If Swan continues his downwards form trend then it leaves a lot to Pendlebry. If Pendelbry gets an injured, it means that Sidebottom or someone similar will cop the close tag. They will fall apart. Cant remember Pendlebry getting injured very often though.
-
There is a reason why this place went into melt down when the rumour surfaced about him moving clubs. He is a bloody good player when fit, he will rip it up at the cats. The only thing that will stop him is injuries. They are the clear winners in that trade. At least we got some very good compensation for him rather than nothing. Him leaving the club for medical reasons still doesnt sit right with me. I think there is a lot more to the story than we are being told.
