  1. Yeah, we need to sell games. It's embarrassing that we decided to commit to Darwin and then years later Norf choose Hobart.
  2. M Jones and Bail were given the spud symbol on fanfooty.com They are not part of the future and should not get another game.
  3. A good article. I knew the basics already. But its good to see some real examples. I really wanted to know about the use of future picks which they didn't go into.

    MRP

That's crazy. He's only gone for 1 week. Put him on the bench and play a rookie for lower points or cop a zero. Don't use a trade though.
  5. Ahh... I'm getting them confused. Weitering is the one I was thinking of. Weitering is the likely top 3 pick and he is a key defender. Weidemann is a key forward who will likely be a first round pick. Gotcha!
  6. He would be a top 3 pick at this stage wouldnt he? Weidemann that is.
  7. Tippet was going to the Gold Coast. Franklin was going to GWS. Frawley was going to Geelong. You just never know what is going on these days.
  8. In hospital. No cure. Worried about the demons. Yep. You're one of us.
  9. You do know that Dazzle was taking the [censored] out of Hogans Hero's when he posted that don't you?
  10. Melbournes forward line - 2000 HF: 18 Brad Green 5 David Schwarz 7 Stephen Powell F: 24 Russell Robertson 9 David Neitz ©33 Jeff Farmer
  11. Spencer is not a forward. King has played 1 good VFL game against average talent. Fitzpatrick has been sent to the back line. Pedersen and Dawes are the other true tall targets. If Dawes can get back to his best (we havent seen it yet) then we will be ok. Most people dont think he will. He is 27 years old right now. If we draft another tall forward now, he will have a couple of years to develop into the role before Dawes starts to get on in years.
  12. Next year will be his best year.
  13. I'll keep Dawes, Pedersen and Grimes. Then pick 1 out of M.Jones, Bail or Michie. The rest are the prime candidates for letting go at the end of the year. So it's not really surprising that they wouldn't make the top teams list.
  14. I love bagging the Scott brothers, but think you are off the mark here. While he did not heap praise on us, he did say that we dominated them in the contests. You are writing his words a little bit out of context. And the guard of honor didnt need to be mentioned. "There were a lot of parts of the game, but if you wanted to summarise it really quickly they dominated around the ball at the contest and were much better than us," "They took their opportunities but we did let in some easy goals that, given the way we've played most of the time this year, were a bit uncharacteristic."
  15. Oh god. I remember that. One person even said that he was lucky to have been picked up in the draft at all.
  16. Harmes to be upgraded too. Terlich is contracted. Hopefully he will get paid out or be offered the Evans deal. (Delisted and rookied at same cash) We have heaps of players just outside our best 22.We may need to cut some who are not the future. Reily doesn't impact games enough for my liking and is too slow. Pick one of Matt Jones, Mitchie or Bail and cut the other two. Mitchie would be my keeper.
  17. hmmm.... I remember thinking it was odd that Hogan came off after kicking his first goal last week. It was it the first couple of mins. Watching the replay, it looks like he goes off to get his hamstring worked on. Must have been a little bit tight going into last week. Explains why he fluffed that kick from outside 50.
  18. It wasnt a bump. He tackled him but didnt bother using arms.
  19. Have to admit. I'm nervous about this game. We played the bulldogs twice last year for two close loses. Both games I think we should have beaten them but felt they got lucky. Since then they have lost a lot of senior players and their coach. Yet they have improved. The past 3 weeks we have played 3 very good teams and have been smashed each time. We should be able to put up a good fight. But will we? I fear that we will go into our shells and get belted. If we do cop another belting, serious questions will need to be asked. And I dont think we will like the answers.
  20. I was curious as to why Fremantle fans hated Scwabb, so I asked them. Here is a thread from 2012. Cameron Schwab - Why the hate?
