  1. I might be mistaken, but I think Max King is from Qld and eligible for a third year like Spencer was.
  2. I don't think Jason Taylor would see it that way. While it might have been a hard choice, I'm sure he would have preferred to have the option. They were essentially ranked equal by most draft pundits so we win either way.
  3. God no. Why on earth would we use pick 5 on a bloke with multiple knee recons?
  4. I think this thread needs to be changed to ULTRA thread
  5. Sad that Jamar didn't get a send off.
  6. I like him a lot. But there is no way I would include our first round pick unless we get a later first rounder back somehow.
  7. Had amazing pace. Never used it to chase an opposition player.
  8. 2 years. Drafted in the 4th round, pick 57 2013. I hope he is given more time in some capacity, be it senior or rookie list. We could really use his pace. I hope we hang onto him for another year. I think what this year showed us is that our list is extreamly shallow. When we got injuries we were forced to bring in NQR's and young players who in better teams would be playing in the 2's. Now of course there are injuries. So you will need to bring in a ready to go replacement. And you will also want to give young players a taste of the big time. But there should only be a maximum of 2 of these replacement players per game. So that would be 46 games per year to these players. Angus Brayshaw - 20 games Aaron Vandenberg -14 games Ben Newton - 9 games Alex Neal Bullen 9 games Viv Michie - 9 games Billy Stretch - 9 games Matt Jones - 8 games James Harmes - 7 games Rohan Bail - 6 games Aidan Riley - 4 games Jordie McKenzie - 1 game Total = 96 games (so far) Lets keep Cross with the hope that he only needs to plays about 10 games next year.
  9. Tomlinson is contracted until the end of next year.
  10. Drafted in 2011 (Clarke trade year) He took that ripper mark for Vic Metro, so he can take a mark. Had gladular fever at one point which has impacted the amount of games played. What would we have to give up for him is the question?
  11. I remember wishing Frawley all the best when he left. But now, he is the primary reason why I do not want them to win. If they win, his premiership medal will not be deserved. They are carrying him.
  12. Not a bad game of football so far tonight. I hope Port beat them. Jesus, I hope we stay clear from Butcher. He has lived up to his name.
  13. Yes. They will then be able to low ball Essendon for Carlisle. When they refuse, Carlisle will demand to be traded for that low pick or walk. Carlisle is angry enough to go through with it too.
  14. His name has popped up last year and has continued this year. He is contracted and has stated that he wants to stay at GWS. I dont think there is any rumours apart from him being Tyson's best mate. I have mixed feelings about him. He hasnt been able to cement a spot in the team and has been played both forward and back without excelling in any position. Great height and an extremely hard runner.
  15. The article you have listed has blasted Paleo diet because Paleolithic man would have eaten carbs. The club is not on a Paleo diet. They are on a very low/ no carb diet. Our players can still have dairy and processed meats. The reason why the club is on this diet is because of the benefits of no carbs. Not because they are following the Paleo 'fad'. To be fair, most people on the Paleo diet don't give a [censored] what Paleolithic man ate. They are doing it for the benefits of no carbs. So what we really should be thinking about is - Is the science behind low carb diets correct? What are the benefits? Here is a link to Catalyst with a lot of information. You will see Professor Tim Noakes interviewed, he was the man who worked with Misson to get the diet into our club. http://www.abc.net.au/catalyst/stories/4126228.htm
  16. Yep. Needs a demon.
  17. What is it with the cats and injury prone ruckmen? The fools just keep on targeting them.
  18. Just re-signed with the bombers recently.
  19. I wonder if Jack Viney can punch through a barrier of reality and retcon our drafting history?
  20. iNo it didn't. Judd was at Carlton from 2008 - 2015. In those 7 years, he was the following. All Australian 08, 09, 10, 11 Carlton B&F 08, 09, 10 Club Captain 2008 - 2012 Brownlow Medal 2010 Alpha MVP 2011. You build a club around a player like that. Carlton had 3 #1 draft picks in a row before he walked in the door. They butchered their draft picks almost exactly the same as we did. Some might argue worse in the more recent years. The Judd deal didn't hold them back,it was the absolute failure of the club to draft and develop a decent side around him. Judd cost Carlton Kennedy, pick 3 and pick 20. Dangerfield would cost us nothing.
  21. What do you know that we dont KingDingALing? http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-04-09/motlop-stood-down "The team and Steve will pay a big penalty this week, but having said that we're really happy with the way Steve responded in the aftermath and we are really positive that this is going to have a good outcome for the whole club and importantly for Steve," Scott said. "We have clear expectations of our players and there is no grey area here. "Steve has not been able to meet those on this occasion and to his credit he acknowledges it and he admits and he is prepared to take his right whack."
  22. Tarrant would have to be the shittest bloke in aus if he walked out on North after they kept faith in him all these years.
  23. What do you think we would have to give up for him? I would love him in our midfield. His pace through the midfield is just what we need.
  24. Closed? Why? This thread will be used again every year until he retires or desides to come to us.
