  1. Anyone know much about Tom's brother Oscar McDonald? Got this from Knightmare's phantom. #55 Sydney - Oscar McDonald (VIC – KPD) Height: 196cm, Weight: 88kg, DOB: 18/03/1996 Recruited from: North Ballarat Range: 30-rookie Profile: Key defender, brother of Melbourne’s Tom.
  2. Im shocked if this is right. Tasmania's population is roughly half a million. 1 player worth inviting to the combine. Im glad the AFL has stepped in and taken over the running of Afl Tas. I was so sick of hearing how good it was that we would get our usual 4-5 tasmanians drafted each year. (Mostly rookies) Development in tas is terrible. Time for something to happen.

So if a kid wants to play for Melbourne then we should draft him? You have a great football brain,

    You haven't met Freak then?

I'm not bagging out either player. I just don't think they are ready for Afl yet.

This kid should not be playing afl footy. He should be at Casey working on his game. Same with Kent. Its a shame our list is so bad that we have no one to play ahead of these kids.

Essendon went really hard for this guy last year. That's the only reason why his name is so well known. If anyone said lets trade pick 13 for Luke Russell you would all say "Who the hell is that?" http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/ft_player_compare?tid1=24&pid1=3602&tid2=24&pid2=3453&type=A&fid1=S&fid2=S

Toy is looking more and more likely to come back to Victoria at the end of the season. He was highly rated as a junior but has done practically nothing while at the Suns. He could end up being involved in a deal with Caddy, especially as GC have to decrease their list size.

Hate it. They are footy players not school boys. Are we still continuing with the flag raising thing this year? That was bad too.

You may be right. I just had a quick look at Jesse Whites stats from a few years ago. Nothing to write home about. In my eyes Jamar and Martin will never be forwards. Basically we have Cook, Watts, Fitzpatrick. That's not much. Especially as Watts may not be a traditional tall forward.

No way should we get Fev. Even with our last rookie spot. We need someone who will be around for 5 years minimum. We lack tall forwards. I would be happy to have a shot at Jesse White. When his name came up a few years ago people said 'No way would Sydney let him go.' Is out of favor and should come cheaply now.
  14. Your opinion holds merit. However I see Roos as a great coach because he turned a group of above average footballers into a champion team. He really got the most out of his players. Would I hold this opinion if they had not won a premiership? maybe not as much. Each to their own. Regardless, I found the article interesting
  15. While it doesn't mention anything about Melbourne in particular, I thought I would post a link to this article as it is an awesome read and gives a bit of insight into what a coach goes through. Paul Roos - The Golden Rules Of AFL Coaching
  16. Can somebody tell me why i always get redirected to the Aussie sports everytime i try to go to the bigpond links?
