I doubt we would have been so happy to give up the pick if we had known it would be pick 3. Imagine the angst we would have had on here knowing we had a terrible season with no 1st round pick.... as much as I love the idea of Butters I think Jackson will be something special too.

Room for both. Moore is much more comparable to Lever with his roaming intercept style of play. He has been in great form.

Caro: Are the Demons the Real Deal in 2021?

Are we? I haven't see any comments from within the club to suggest we have got anywhere ahead of ourselves. What are you basing this on? And the answer to Caros question is; Not Yet. -

Looks like we have filled it. https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-news-2021-tayla-harris-instagram-gillon-mclachlan-polo-brother-hamish-tom-morris-column-man-on-the-mark/news-story/632ec657183d1e8e22b652cdbb20ee89 Melbourne has claimed a big scalp. The club has been on the lookout for a new GM of media for a month, ever since Ryan Larkin was lured to Essendon. Man on the Mark has been reliably informed Hawthorn’s Clare Pettyfor has won the race for the coveted position ahead of a string of highly credentialed candidates. She will leave the Hawks after six years. The Demons are expected to announce the appointment after Easter. -

He isn't eligible. He played too many games last year. It's meaningless anyway. Edit: snap! -

Yes. I remember it happening to Flash. He never handled it well. -
Close. Played saints in round 4. Brent Guerra (who moved to the hawks later) targeted him at the opening minutes and broke his wrist in a crude tackle. We were so good in those 3 games. Pretty sure Yze was going absolutely ballistic with some crazy shots on goal too.

I'm not going to discuss anything further with someone who thinks you shouldn't sing the song after a win. All the best in you life.
-
Yeah. I've followed for a long time. You know what ive seen? A lot of losses. I dont think the lid is off. I'm very realistic in thinking that we have had a soft start to the season and know that we are one of many teams battling it out for 6-12 on the ladder. But i will take it as we were a bit underdone heading into the season. We are three wins from three games. I'm happy that we have won. I've also been around on these board long enough to know that my words will fall on deaf ears with you. You have always been a bit of a pessimistic [censored] I mean... you dont even want the team to sing the song. Have a think about what you post.
-
Yep. We have hit some teams at good times. Brayshaw, Viney, Oliver and Kossie all with problematic preseasons. We have been able to get them through the first few games and get a bit of fitness into them. Will be a real test next week.

Wow. You are a sad individual.

Wow! Three and zip! So happy! Looking at the fixture in the preseason I think all of us would be happy with being 3 zip. I felt like we weren't tracking that well leading into round 1 with players coming back from injury. The boys have beaten the teams in front of them and have had enough time to get settled into the season. Hopefully the boys know that the teams they have played haven't been cherry ripe either and don't get too far ahead of them. Geelong next week. We have hit form and will be ready for them. Really looking forward to it.

The report about Harmes out for six weeks with a broken wrist also said Melk and Hibberd wont be coming back in this week.

Holy [censored] [censored]! Nice one Andy. Big fan of the podcast. Home base How many realistic options do we have on the table Is the corner of Gosch's paddock and size of ground going to realistically be big enough to be an option How far down the path did we get with the Yarra Park option How close are we to a announcing a site

What they're saying down at Cockburn Central
BAMF replied to Queanbeyan Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
I love it. Footys back and so comes all the rubbish that goes with it. For some reason as a member/supporter you do take offence when really you have almost zero responsibility for how the result will turn out. Likewise, it's absolutely great to give my mates a heap of [censored] when their team is hopeless. -
Mentioned this in another thread already. On the recent Gus and Gawn podcast they have Burgess on as a guest. When asked about good runners he mentioned that Kozzie had a good mix of speed/endurance.
-
Darren Burgess was the guest on the most recent Gus & Gawny podcast. Highlights: When asked who had the best preseason, Burgess replied: Luke Jackson. Loves what he does on and off the track Best runner: Few names got mentioned from Port and Premier League but mentioned the Ed Langdon was a great gut runner. Also mentioned Kozzie Pickett as being a good combo (speed/endurance) Didn't seem like he was mentioning Demon players just for the hell of it either. He seemed genuinely impressed by the players mentioned. The podcast as a whole is quite difficult to listen to as the boys are massive fans of there own humor. Fair to say that i'm not 'A friend of the podcast'

Thanks for creating the leagues again Deevoted. I am in the Robbie Flower League. Maximum_Johnson

Key defender or just defender? My love for the Wrecker is still very strong. Think he edges out Nev in the back pocket position.

I hate that look that Tomlinson constantly has on his face. Looks like something terrible has happened and he is about to run and tell his mum.
-
Guys. The list isn't based off previous seasons. It is who Robbo thinks is going to have a big year this year. Hence Daniher and Rowell are on the list. He thinks they will be great this year.
-
GWS in their terrible years. Demons in some terrible years. North in some terrible years. Not really the sort of career he would have been hoping for.
