Where did you see him play HH?

Delistings/trades at end of the season
It will be interesting to see the rules of future pick trades. Can you simply trade for picks? Eg. Hawks think they are travelling very well, they trade their first and second round pick this year to Port for their first two picks next year. That would give Port a good influx of talent now when they need it and then Hawks would have 4 early picks next year. I know that next years talent is suppose to be better. I'm just using this as a potential scenario.

He is contracted. I just can't see Gold Coast letting him go.

I don't think you have seen him. You would have realised how short he was if you had. It sort of sticks out. Do you still think that he is not good enough for our first round pick? What do you think is a fair offer?

He only found out he was short a few pages back. The bloke hasnt even seen Prestia play.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Yeah... I dont think it will be that easy. If he wants to come to us, we still have the problem of him being contracted. Gold Coast will lose a few players already. Dont think they will let him walk.

He means Mahoney. Josh Mahoney - Football Operations Manager.

Harmes to be upgraded too. Terlich is contracted. Hopefully he will get paid out or be offered the Evans deal. (Delisted and rookied at same cash) We have heaps of players just outside our best 22.We may need to cut some who are not the future. Reily doesn't impact games enough for my liking and is too slow. Pick one of Matt Jones, Mitchie or Bail and cut the other two. Mitchie would be my keeper.

The 2014 AFL National Draft
Im shocked if this is right. Tasmania's population is roughly half a million. 1 player worth inviting to the combine. Im glad the AFL has stepped in and taken over the running of Afl Tas. I was so sick of hearing how good it was that we would get our usual 4-5 tasmanians drafted each year. (Mostly rookies) Development in tas is terrible. Time for something to happen.

So if a kid wants to play for Melbourne then we should draft him? You have a great football brain,

You haven't met Freak then?

Jimmy Toumpas
I'm not bagging out either player. I just don't think they are ready for Afl yet.

This kid should not be playing afl footy. He should be at Casey working on his game. Same with Kent. Its a shame our list is so bad that we have no one to play ahead of these kids.

Jack Watts
Guys. This is an article from Jay Clark. Let's not get carried away.

Josh Caddy
Essendon went really hard for this guy last year. That's the only reason why his name is so well known. If anyone said lets trade pick 13 for Luke Russell you would all say "Who the hell is that?" http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/ft_player_compare?tid1=24&pid1=3602&tid2=24&pid2=3453&type=A&fid1=S&fid2=S

Toy is looking more and more likely to come back to Victoria at the end of the season. He was highly rated as a junior but has done practically nothing while at the Suns. He could end up being involved in a deal with Caddy, especially as GC have to decrease their list size.

Blazer Glory
Hate it. They are footy players not school boys. Are we still continuing with the flag raising thing this year? That was bad too.

Key Forward Wanted.
You may be right. I just had a quick look at Jesse Whites stats from a few years ago. Nothing to write home about. In my eyes Jamar and Martin will never be forwards. Basically we have Cook, Watts, Fitzpatrick. That's not much. Especially as Watts may not be a traditional tall forward.

Key Forward Wanted.
No way should we get Fev. Even with our last rookie spot. We need someone who will be around for 5 years minimum. We lack tall forwards. I would be happy to have a shot at Jesse White. When his name came up a few years ago people said 'No way would Sydney let him go.' Is out of favor and should come cheaply now.

Paul Roos - The golden rules of AFL coaching
Your opinion holds merit. However I see Roos as a great coach because he turned a group of above average footballers into a champion team. He really got the most out of his players. Would I hold this opinion if they had not won a premiership? maybe not as much. Each to their own. Regardless, I found the article interesting

Paul Roos - The golden rules of AFL coaching
While it doesn't mention anything about Melbourne in particular, I thought I would post a link to this article as it is an awesome read and gives a bit of insight into what a coach goes through. Paul Roos - The Golden Rules Of AFL Coaching
