  1. You should start to worry. I'll be back in July.
  2. Before they shut it down. This... sarcasm play noun sar·casm \ˈsär-ˌka-zəm\ Popularity: Top 1% of lookups Simple Definition of sarcasm : the use of words that mean the opposite of what you really want to say especially in order to insult someone, to show irritation, or to be funny Source: Merriam-Webster's Learner's Dictionary Think about the TMac thread and the comments on game day discussion today about Petracca... Can I make it any clearer?
  3. Please admin., Close this thread now before the "terminally devoid of humour brigade" do something foolish. I promise never to attempt any sort of humour again on Demonland!
  4. We actually moved up the ladder last week despite our loss, so this sort of squares the ledger.
  5. Some people just never learn......
  6. The that makes me proud! It was sarcasm in response to the thread about TMac. It certainly stops beiing funny when you have to explain it! Lesson learned I guess....
  7. See above. Do I have to start a thread to explain sarcasm?
  8. Yeah, you're right. Not everyone recognises irony, sarcasm or even humour. Sorry. I promise never to intrude on your miserable existence again. Did you notice we had a win today?
  9. The best is yet to come! GODEES!
  10. Not sure he's gonna make it. Yeah, I'm joking!

TMac is fifth on the list for effective disposals. Jack Viney and Bernie Vince are rated as 1 and 2 for clangers with 27 and 23 respectively, whilst Tom MacDonald sits on 11 clangers. I understand that stats don't always tell the whole story and that a mistake in the back-line can be costly but consider also that if the midfield clangers weren't occurring, maybe the ball wouldn't be in our defensive half quite as much and defenders like TMac who attack the ball would not be under so much pressure. In fact if you have a look at the top five here, it's interesting to see that four of them are defenders. i find that sort of comforting. Let's not be too hasty in finding a whipping boy. There are plenty more with worse decision making skills than TMac. GoDees!
  12. I reckon I might have to fly home from Beijing for the weekend. Good luck to the boy. GO DEES!
  13. Reminds me of Alistair Clarkson when he played for the Dees.
  14. Yeah, the shot could do with some cropping. What would have been really heartening would have been to see Watts get up and put Rance on his backside. Still, he probably did the professional thing and went back and kicked the goal.
  15. Reminds me of the famous Ali v Sonny Liston photo. GO DEES!
  16. I think he's even tougher than his father... Thank god he plays for us! GO DEES!
  17. Hail Viney Hail Viney, full of aggro, Our Roos is with you. Blessed are you among players, and blessed is the fruit of Mrs Viney’s womb, Jack. Holy Viney, son of Todd, play for us sinners, now and win us a flag before our death. Amen.
  18. Be happy. Do you realise what happened tonight?
  19. There were far more good decisions than bad ones. The improvement in our skills when moving the ball are greatly improved. Laziness? Who? When? I thought it was a really solid team effort. Umpires are umpires they're not within our control. Be happy Clint! We've won two in a row and let's not underestimate how much the Tigers would have wanted to win that game. They applied a lot of pressure but we were good enough to absorb everything they threw at us and respond every time.
  20. What's frustrating about a win like that? We did everything a good team needs to do. We answered the challenges and won going away. C'mon!
  21. Wow! you're raising negativity to a whole new level. How about we worry about this week before we start getting nervous about next week? We may be entering next week's game with a 3-2 win ratio. we might be coming off a 60 point thumping over the tiges. We might be seeing the debut of CP. Hogan and Watts might be celebrating a 12 goal haul between them. Who knows? Lots of variables to come into play before thinking about next week. Enjoy the present! GO DEES!
  22. After so many year of mediocrity, and that's being kind, it's pretty hard not to be nervous. It's funny though, I have this other feeling chipping away at the nervousness. I think it might be excitement. I'm pretty sure that excitement and confidence are linked so does that means I am confidently and excitedly nervous? Dees by Vandenberg's number. I can't bring myself to use the digits. GO DEES!
  23. Maybe it's about long term success rather than short term gain. When behaviours are embedded, they become instinctive. It doesn't happen overnight. When it's a quick fix it might work for a little while but it's often not sustainable. We saw that last year when the dogs could not bring the game plan into the finals.
