  1. All I can see is Jack Viney and Nathan Jones holding a cup aloft while 40,000 members and another 30,000 termites celebrate wildly at the MCG .Our path is set. For the first time in many years our trade period is about topping up rather than list-building. GO DEES!
  2. And then there's Viney. I know he's been in the system a little longer but he will be prove to be equally great.
  3. Running must really take it out of you.
  4. Let's keep a lid on this fellas. I can't see us winning by any more than about 80 points so let's not get too excited.
  5. Donald Trump on the other hand... Now there's an orator. Sorry, getting orator and nutter mixed up. Kevin Sheedy?
  6. Well, Hamlet was a nutter. Not sure he qualifies.
  7. What's this thread about? Can someone remind me?
  8. TV news tonight had a clip of Worsfold complaining about a report that Hurley has already done a deal with the dogs. Says it's illegal and he'll be asking the AFL to investigate...
  9. I'm a bit slow. Just go and hug somebody and explain. You might get lucky.
  10. Just worked it out. I wish I could give you a hug.
  11. Get to Casa, a bar in Sai Kung, and find my son, Johnno.
  12. Just back for a short break. Couldn't get to the game but watched whilst babysitting grandkids. They learned some new adjectives, verbs and nouns! What a win.
  13. I am a about one more negative thread away from closing my subscription to Demonland. I am being worn down by the constant negativity and pessimism. I'm going to take a little holiday for a week or two. Cheers to those who continue to fly the optimism flag. The rest need to lighten up and see things for what they are. The sky is not falling. We are getting better. We will be good next year and very good in 2018. Maybe I'll come back then. See ya...
  14. 6. T McDonald 5 - Viney 4. Gawn 3 - Hogan 2 - Watts 1 - Grimes
  15. Conditions maybe???? Be happy, it's a win!
  16. The most important part of learning is being allowed to make mistakes. Fear of making a mistake inhibits learning. Roos and co are aware of this and will working on minimising the errors. It's frustrating but it's part of a strategy to build long-term success.
  17. We're not far away. The difference today was some silly decision making and some poor disposal. The second quarter was a glimpse of the future. Another pre-season into the kids and some judicious trading at year's end and the improvement will be marked. A lot to be frustrated about today, but a lot to like at times.
  18. I'm not sure about a rabbit out of a hat but I have a sneaking suspicion, based on a quiet whisper from someone who claims to see things from a different plane, that we may pull a hare out of our arse. I suspect it will be a closer contest than many think. I know that "honourable losses" are not acceptable to some on here, so I'm tipping an honourable victory by less than a goal. I hope the big fella can see the broadcast. Maybe he's got an AFL Global Pass. I just hope his internet is better than mine in China.
  19. The alternative argument is that the greedy capitalists of the world have outsourced so much manufacturing to China that the pollution is the fault of the west.
  20. Mmmmm! My Christian spirit forbids me from saying more. Mmmmm!
