  1. Prediction, Scott Thompson will kick as many goals as Dawes.
  2. Because we're worse than both of those teams
  3. You forgot to mention how "<insert players> tearing up the track" Pretty easy to look good in a bunch of spuds.
  4. Fitzy is the prototype of the modern day tall forward in being able to play multiple positions as he's mobile, he could become quality forward/ruck. In that being said I cant see him becoming that at Melbourne, he'll probably be traded and I'd hate it if he turned out to be exactly what we need at another club. I wonder if the Dog's would have any interest and what they would be willing to give up for him, he fills a need they have.
  5. A game we should win but are more than likely to lose, see Bulldogs (x 2).
  6. I reckon ROK would be good as medium forward that can put on defensive pressure / on-field coach before transitioning to an off-field role. With him dropping off a bit in pace he probably isn't suited to playing as a permanent mid anymore. Worst comes to worst he plays at Casey and helps the boys develop there, god knows they need some help at Casey.
  7. They never drafted (Josh??) Bartel or Selwood as father-sons, they got them in the draft. They did however get Ablett, Hawkins, etc as father-sons for bargain basement picks.
  8. We do now as a result of how things panned out over the last few years, our tall stocks could easily have been. Clark, Hogan, Dawes, Tom Mac, Garland, Davis, Sellar, Dunn, Pederson, Rivers If Frwaley stays we're probably one tall short depth wise forward, if he goes we're one short forward and back.
  9. Did Tappy board a plane for Melbourne after his goal? Haven't seen him in a while...
  10. Cant bump, cant take a bump, cant run, cant mark, cant kick. All he can do is look lethargic and sit on the bench.
  11. I don't think there should be a rule about contract lengths, if a club is willing to risk paying a player for 7 years, 9 years or whatever then so be it. All it takes is one injury in the 1st year of their contract and its all over, wasted money. Kouta was a perfect example of long contract, bad injuries, nothing in return.
  12. This thread is pointless, it's just another thread saying whose a spud and and who is gun. Nothing new apart from the wording.
  13. I don't, when we've beaten Essendon we've always played them at the right time. Essendon play like a premiership for the first 5 rounds and the last 5 rounds of each season, in between that they're a bottom 4 side.
  14. I'm also warming to ROK, depsite his age I'd rather than a slow gun than slow young dud thats currently on our list. Plus he could be backup for Cross, we're missing him at the moment.
  15. I really dont rate Brisbane but yet I cannot see us beating them becuase despite how average their side is they still seem to win or come close. We're also playing them at Etihad and I bet their record at Etihad is better than ours. GWS I'm fairly confident (injuries pending) we'll win, that will also be my day at the presidents luncheon so I'll be taking full advantage of that.
  16. Considering he's 1. from Sydney, 2. relatively tall for a mid, 3. mature, and 4. not a big name.... he sounds like the kind of player Roo's would target.
  17. Not to mention we had good VFL players on our list like Magner, Couch, etc.
  18. I should have been more clear about the shapes. We looked at them at thought about the elite taste, once received they turned out to be poor. But don't worry they're only 23 years old, still plenty of time to become some solid shapes.
  19. I think they learnt their lesson from Brock Mclean.
  20. Are Freo still interested in Watts? Kepler Bradley or a box of pizza shapes for Jack Watts.
  21. I'm not injured but I'm crying on the couch.
  22. After today we cant lose to them ever again, so theres that.
