Liam Jurrah: charged, on bail and discussion closed for now
McQueen replied to dee-luded's topic in Melbourne Demons
B59. I am saying that the Alice would be the closest major hub for Jurrah to fly back to Melbourne. Yuendumu is nearly 6 hours drive from the Alice and it has a small airstrip to accommodate small aircraft. Liam might have flown between the two or he may have driven it. Either way, he would have had to depart from Alice Springs for Melbourne. You will find that many aboriginals from troubled communities escape to the larger town and city centres to avoid the violence. Obviously though, sometimes it follows them. -

Let's leave it to the police to ask the valid questions. We will know the answers soon enough, but probably not the whole truth. -

Right back at you, DC. He was probably in-transit FFS... Who knows? -
Err... They're not his players anymore.

No direct flights to Yuendemu last time I looked. -
C'mon Billy. Do you think there really is a vast difference between Hurley and Watts? I've seen Watts impose himself on games just as much as Hurley. This is a myth Anyway, I have faith that Neeld and Co will be helping young Jack cope through this and more than likely using it to their/his advantage.

When he spoke of Cloke, he mentions that he had to be taught to jump for the footy (more effort) at AFL level. Jack is being taught at the moment too and he's going to be a lot more versatile and important than Cloke ever will be at Collingwood and GWS. I hope that in the informal chats Neeld has with Malthouse he might ask Mick to tone it down a little. At the moment it's just feeding a media frenzy that could have an adverse effect on Jack. Then again it could be the catalyst for Jack to take the next big step. Either way, I feel Mark Neeld should get Malthouse to pump the brakes a little on this subject.

AFL Ablett Franklin Pendlebury Boyd Goodes Interesting nobody else has included Matty Boyd from the Dogs. This guy is a ball magnet and uses it well. If he was covered in tattoo's he would have won a Brownlow. MFC Frawley Jones Jamar Moloney Sylvia/Trengove

I can appreciate the Reach gesture but this should definitely not be in the way of our FOJ sponsor announcement. If this is the case then priorities are UTS.

Not the best vision of Eddie but by geez this bloke could play guitar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXq4GlHgROQ

If Viney is going to play on the ball and dish out similar agression and ball winning ability at AFL level as to what we've seen in TAC cup, there is every chance he will poll very well at the 2014 count. I'm hoping that by then, at least half of the team is competing for the top 5 vote getters.

I took the initiative and renewed myself last October.

Hang on... I thought Spencer was 10 weeks with a knee injury and possibly a longer term injury..? Is this now not the case? Cheers for the report. Great to hear the team spirit is up and about. Ed: Spelling

Where did I say he will be elite? I said that I think Viney will be a "top line" player by then. He will effectively have 3 years of senior footy under his belt when you include this year at Casey (has this been sanctioned?).. My hopes are high nutbean because that's all I have to work with at the moment. Interesting that you're already classifying Viney with Trengove when he's yet to play a senior game but in the same breath asking me to reflect on the comparison of whether he will be elite.
-
Yeah, I see what you did there. I agree that Viney will only be in his second season and still very young. But, from all reports, Viney has the hunger and the build and most likely by then will have the skills to be one of Melbournes top line players. Will be a man-child and thrive under the style of play Neeld has begun to foster.

Just checking...

If there is any truth in the rumours that it will be a Chinese airline, how good would it be for the inflight entertainment to be preceeded by an advertisement on the MFC. Maybe Muzza's membership video ilk. Would be a great way to showcase the club and the game and would steer interested persons in the direction of the MFC.

Yeah, you must think that it drives your narcisstic ego. Well done. Hang-on... Tom, is that you?
-
Good call, and if you think a reversal is a distinct possibility then I would like to know how. For Neeld to back-pedal on a decision like that would go against his whole elite performance mantra. Sorry but no chance. I do however hope that Col rips it up this year.

Follow the crowd? It wouldn't be like you just to go against the crowd though would it. You're so predictable.

Yeah mate. They poke us up behind the goals at Subi. Not the best seats but at least you can talk with other normal people. -

It's seeing a similar result to the Collingwood game with Jack Watts having the pill on a string. -
