    I reckon you and I would enjoy a beer together. I first got on the Stone and Wood PA when in Newcastle a few months ago. It was coupled with one of the most delightful 7+ marble Wagyu steak I've ever had. If you're ever in Newcastle, get to the Burwood Inn.

    Surely this is just natural for a lot of coaches but I do tend to agree with Ron's comment. I reckon the commitment Peter Jackson has recently shown the club, by stepping down from his role with the AFL to focus solely on the MFC, must also have some bearing on Roos commitment. They're like peas in a pod.

    I had a very vivid dream last night that we beat Port by 10 goals, only conceding 1 goal 5 behinds. That's a start.

    He's only had two years and in that time has shown some very good glimpses of talent, toughness and x-factor. Not bad for a bloke taken in the 50's. Petracca hasn't even played yet although you reckon he'll have Kent covered..

    Interesting question. He seems to be not super fast but has enough speed to escape most defenders in a one on one - especially when he has the goals in sight. He'd probably go alright off the HBF.

    Is he not from your neck of the woods? Is a 56 touch game and consistent +30 disposals in the NEAFL warrant a rookie spot? Couch and Magner won plenty of the pill at VFL level but their AFL career was very brief.

    Vandenberg looks like a stick in all the photos I've looked at. Watts looked like Hercules beside him. Is that really the case or is he a decent size?

    Fitzy does a couple of miraculous things once in a blue moon and people think he's got all the tools. It's most likely complete arse. Regardless, it'd be a great to see him do well.

    I think Roosy wanted to remove the burden more than anything that had been placed on previous young guns drafted to the Melbourne footy club. It's also driving the change to that of competitive culture through not gifting players games they clearly don't deserve.
