That's impressive! I see we slug our members a minimum of $40 (discount excluded) for the basic cap and up $60 for a new era!! Scarves won't bring that sought of revenue and unfortunately I think that is the strategy. Caps are a much much better alternative as you can wear them at anytime whereas a scarf, particularly here in Perth, there might be two occasions in the whole year. Worth pursuing I think.

Swans members get a new cap with their pack each year?
-
Foxtel had them all last year iirc.

Gotta check out the depth and their ability to play roles. Change it up but aim to win.

Training - Wednesday 7th December, 2016
McQueen replied to Satyriconhome's topic in Melbourne Demons
The way his upper body is shaped in preparation for the grab is a replica of Shaun's. -
I liked it because the content gave me a good belly laugh, regardless of what Poita was supposing.
-
And I'll be able to see my beloved Demons twice in Perfect next season. no complaints here.

How do you know I'm not doing it already?

I thought the only reason he joined the club was because he enjoyed his meditation sessions with Roosy and Tami.

The training thread is underway, old dee. We can now waste our day reading something of greater value.
-
It's a bit of a hit on Demonland too, BBO.

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet but I just picked up that there's no 'New Age Caravans' logo on the sleeves of the media polo. Has their sponsorship ceased?
-
Probably early to tell but how does TSmith look as far as tank/stamina in running?
-
I can recall people saying he was made heavier last year by Misson et al in an effort to combat the heavier defenders. Obviously this was not of benefit.
-
They'd run out of blue polos by the time I ordered mine last year so purchased the red instead. I like it more than this seasons.
-
Totally agree, P-man. As others have mentioned, Jeffy doesn't have the margin for error next year like he did in 2015 or to a degree this season - although I get your point regards "the cream on top." He just seems that much more frustrating to me when he's having an off game.

Garlett lacks the physicality of the very good defensive forward. Granted he's light which allows him to be more agile but I would prefer someone who can lay a bone-jarring tackle when required other than just kick goals.

Thought I'd bump this thread now that Jesse is committed and we're beginning to see positive articles in the media like this one. These comments in particular warmed the cockles of my heart; "Being away from family and friends was something I was going to have to sacrifice, but in the end it's worth it," he said. "We're building something special at this club and if I was to potentially leave and to miss that and watch these boys achieve whatever they achieve ... it would be pretty hard for me to watch." Losers become winners

All the best, Jack. A great clubman and a pretty bloody good footballer. Leaving the AFL to have a kick with your mates in a local league is a suitable exit, given the fella he is.

Interesting article on the AFL site with regards to the Crows keeping Sam Shaw on the list purely from a welfare perspective. Obviously the two instances have differences but the overriding message is that if we tried to get Lumumba off the books from a 'not meeting contractual obligations' pov, we could potentially open ourselves up considerably if something does happen with his concussion claims. Player welfare will always be first and if it takes having him as a non-playing listed player, such as Shaw, to avoid anything coming back on the club then so be it.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – LACHLAN FILIPOVIC
McQueen replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
The young fella has only played the game for two years and he's found his way on to a AFL clubs rookie list. If anything, this fact alone shows the massive scope this kid potentially has. Handy basketballer and soccer player. Oozes talent and if Max says he's a hard worker then I'll back him in. -
Bugger. My flight back to Perf leaves at 1pm.
-
Okay. I've only been told it's closed by someone else - not actually checked myself. Is there any possibility it'll be earlier, like 9.30am?
-
Next Monday is listed as a closed session. Does the club mind supporters coming to view these? Is it just the media that is directed at?
