  1. New Hun article states Collingwood think Frawley to Pies is a done deal. I thought he wanted success?
  2. Posted by Jon Ralph on twitter:- "Denham & Lace says free agent Malceski might go to Dees. Sure his mail is great. But it would affect the compo pick for Frawley. He's 29" More Greg Denham rubbish or something in it? Thoughts are Malceski's body has taken a battering over the years and at 29 would only want to get him if Chip stays and we don't dilute Chip compo pick. If true - Roos must think he'll add a lot to the culture and leadership of the team - like Cross.
  3. Whilst we've got solid citizens and not raw talent running through the midfield - M Jones, McKenzie, Rielly, Cross, Bail etc - we're always going to struggle. I think M Jones, McKenzie, Evans, Blease, Bail & Nico all have to be moved on as whilst all honest don't have what it takes for an AFL midfield.
  4. I'm sick of this bloke and the tickets (& deluded manager) must have on himself to think he's worth anywhere near a player in the top 5% in comp - I really hope he pisses off and we take the compo pick.
  5. Matt Jones needs to sharpen up and bloody quickly
  6. As above - been a star. If only we'd kept hold of his best mate Bennell - imagine what Roos could have done with him!!
  7. Agree Pedo was great in starting that last scoring play - but everyone along the chain of play picked the right option - Chip, Jordie, Tommy Mac, Viney & Cross - all of them could have let the pressure get to then and blaze away but it was a perfect chain of footy.
  8. If the boys don't get it together I feel the floodgates could open in 2nd half and could blow out to 75 points. Dawes, Vince, M Jones, Bail, Garland, Howe, Jamar, Pederson all need to lift. Playing well are Dunn, Grimes, Watts & Jetta.
  9. Watts was good today. Workrate exception and disposal excellent. His pass to pederson on the fast lead was perfection.
  10. Out : Salem, Matt Jones In : Blease (we need some line breaking run), McKenzie for M Jones (turns ball over too often & needs to get it more often). Also - no way JKH should be dropped. He had a bad quarter & and needs an arm around him and pump up & start next week - dropping him would be what Neeld would do so Roos will do opposite. Also, we need to expose Dons lack of leg speed.
  11. Vince was BOG. Jones, Dunn, Cross, Pederson, Jetta and Watts all good. Slow movement into forward line, terrible turnovers. Garland, Salem, Tyson, Matt Jones all below par. Viney needs to improve kicking quickly. Jones and Bail too many turnovers. Think Blease should come in for some speed and offensive run. Collingwood are the best defensive side we've played and it showed up our skill level.
  12. I have it from a reliable source in support staff that he's been playing in a lot of pain every week - not sure of the injury. If Grimes is the biggest issue we've got we are certainly on the right track!!
  13. Will definitely miss weeks for that hit.
  14. Welsh seems to be from the Neeld Academy of Emotional Intelligence. Really dislike the way he goes about it. Allision is blunt in assessments but direct is different to embarrassing people in public - the comments on Georgio are a disgrace - and if the players are committed well the fish rots at the head.
  15. Exciting. Brett Lovett was an absolute star - one of the most underrated players of the time - remember him playing in Victorian team with Lyon. Rarely beaten and rarely wasted a possie across half back - gun.
  16. Barry has just had his best couple of weeks - he won't go. Either will Blease but they should see if he's got any trade value. Think Tappy will be given more time too - coaches love hardness. Clark (Ret) Byrnes (Ret / not offered new contract) Nicho - disposal / decision making not at AFL standard - turning into list clogger. Clisby ahead of him now. McKenzie - trade / delist. I know he's a great soldier and clubman - but can't see him getting a game ahead of mitchie, kent, evans, toumpas, salem - disposal won't cut it. Strauss - make or break year - out of excuses. Frawley - if he decides to run. Don't think they would make anymore than 5 changes.
  17. Tom Mitchell - dropped from Swans team since Round 4 got a record 64 touches and 4 goals in the NEAFL on weekend - throw some dollars at the kid!
  18. The more a see him the more I think he's the image of Terry Wallace in his prime - looks slow but is so smart, finds space and is deceptively strong - even his left foot kicking action is the same as Wallace.
  19. Also think Dom is a jet and future star - just looks a natural footballer. I've heard a lot of people have a crack at his kicking. Think he's a good kick, just needs a couple of decent off-season's to boost his fitness. I've heard Jobe Watson speak at a function where he said his kicking improved when his fitness improved - think the same for Dom - pretty have to be clean when you've knackered and heat rate at maximum.
  20. of course, Treloar is a jet.
  21. Have to get a Priority this year. Pick 1, 2 and 3. Chip wouldn't be putting a price on his head if he hadn't decided to check out - and who could blame him. Undoubtedly we'll trade one of those picks to GWS again for them to draft a future brownlow medalist.
  22. Truly hope this is wrong - but a good Melbourne Storm contact of mine has told me that a lot of players are calling Roos the Ghost as they just never see him around the club.
  23. As Lethal Leigh has said before - there is no natural position for Col in modern footy. He is a natural leading forward but 8-10cm too short to play in that position and doesn't have the engine or vision to play as a mid-fielder.
