I’m gonna mail myself over. Aus Post will no doubt deliver me a day too late. But worth a try.

Avoid Victoria at all costs. Our airport was an exposure site a few days ago. Safer to fly to WA then to SA from there 😂

I can’t believe I’ll have to watch this game at home by myself 😭😭😭😭😭😭
-
What did David King say?
-
And people cried that we over paid for him. Lol.
-
Hopefully not 😂

That is brilliant. I’m gonna watch it another 15 times. Good work! May and Gawn at the end 😍

I’m so jealous of our SA demon fans. Get along and cheer hard. Let’s outnumber the Brisbane fans!

How many times can you watch the last minute of the game in one day?… asking for a friend

Remember they don’t have Hipwood anymore. I think their forwards can still stretch us. But as always it comes down to the midfield. We need to match them in contested possessions and clearances. Do that and we win. Their defense will struggle if we keep moving the ball quickly inside 50.

I started reading the news. Got depressed. Switched on the mini replays on Kayo. Mood fixed!
-
I turned off at half time because mentally I was done with the day. But I switched back on in the last quarter.

I was on hands and knees crying. I kept yelling to my husband “I can’t watch. Just tell me what happens” 😂

2021 ABC Footballer of the Year - Clayton Oliver
Jaded No More replied to Wilson7's topic in Melbourne Demons
I have never seen a player who has the same will to win and just pushes themselves as hard as possible every second of every game. This guy in finals is going to be something else. Last night he also broke the all time AFL record for most contested possessions in a single season.- 76 replies

What a beautiful mature leader this guy has become. A gentleman and an exceptional player. His interview really got to me. I was already in hysterics when Gawn was lining up for goal, but this interview was next level.
-
For Lever to not panic and bomb it in but instead pin point the kick to Gawn, just shows what a calm operator he is. A genuine leader.

Adelaide makes the most sense. We play well there. It’s a shorter trip for us than Brisbane. We would have more fans than them in the stands. And there’s a high chance we play there again anyway so good practice. Oliver said post match he likes to play there. Good enough for me.

Sydney worry me the most. They will challenge us the most with their contested footy. They have a lot of talent across the board. Very good ruckman. Excellent mids. Buddy. The coach I rate the most in the AFL (except Clarko). They are the one side I really don’t want to meet in finals.

Oliver’s will to win and his ability to compete for 120 minutes at full speed and power is unmatched. He is a superstar.

There are only two players who are not permanently embedded in the 22 right now. Sparrow and Smith (maybe Bowey if Hunt was fit). Sparrow was good but his ball use is a worry. I still prefer JJ. Smith has been ok but honestly I don’t think he’s been with the defence enough and it shows. He interferes with the play too much for mine. With a relatively healthy list we have the luxury of picking horses for courses. Brisbane have a strong midfield. JJ for me is a good defensive mid but his attack is better than Sparrow hence I’m picking him. Backline needs to be picked on matchups. I would play Petty on Daniher and May on Cameron. I’m not sure who Smith would play on but at the same time Brisbane will surely try to stack their forwardline with talls. I am still picking Hibbo. Our ground ball work in defence isn’t great and I think Hibbo will help with that. Edit: good news is May has never played two average games in the red and blue in a row and Fritta generally has a big game after a quiet one. Tmac needs to get back into it.

It’s one thing to come back from 44 points down in hostile territory. It’s another to do it against one of the better and more experienced sides in the competition with a goal after the siren to win the minor premiership. But nothing, absolutely nothing, beats the sweet sweet delicious salty tears of Chris Scott. Beating those arrogant scumbags is just the best.
