  1. Channel 7 saying May McDonald and Viney confirmed in Rohan back for the Cats 🤮
  2. Hibbo too important with Hunt out. Gives us some dash and carry from the backline. Smith is a no.
  3. Scomo the useless [censored] has just announced Pfiiiiiiizer will become available for 16-39 year olds from August 30th! For my birthday this year (another one in lockdown), I’m going to try to get vaccinated. What a present!
  4. Everyone needs to stop looking at raw numbers. We are basically day one of a 14 day lockdown with 13 cases. 3 unlinked and they are confident at least one of the 3 will be linked shortly. Today is day one of a new infection cycle. We need to really run down the mystery case numbers. If we do then there’s no reason we can’t be out in 14 days. Just need people not to be absolute [censored] stains and do the right thing.
  5. I hear Clarko is available.
  6. Correct. It’s not about the numbers it’s about the infectious numbers in the community and the mystery cases. Don’t panic before you get the story behind the numbers (which is easier said than done because we are all on constant edge!). Jerone said today they expect a spike in numbers as they have a lot of day 13 testing coming up. And basically every household has had transmissions. Al Takwa is made up of a lot of large households. If we get 42 cases and 38 are in isolation then we are no worse off than we were today. If however we get 40 cases and half aren’t in isolation and we have a lot more mystery cases, well then we are screwed. The hardest part of a 7 day lockdown is the first 3 weeks.
  7. So if we end up hosting Port in a home game it’ll end up being a big disadvantage to us no matter where we choose to play. Adelaide is the shortest travel time so is a plus. But obviously we can’t play Port there without giving up a massive advantage. Which means we need to go to Brisbane and spend yet more time on planes. Just a joke. Why can’t we play the first two weeks at the MCG?!
  8. Seriously can Covid just GAGF already?! It’s one thing to mess with our lives and health, it’s another to mess with footy when Melbourne is winning.
  9. 100% watch us win a grand final. I would do anything to watch us win one. In person or otherwise. I would say losing a grand final would be better than a prelim, but both would hurt and feel like a real missed opportunity.
  10. And yet if the Dogs beat Port I wouldn’t be surprised if Tom is a late out.
  11. Surely Prestia doesn’t play this weekend. Or is he injured anyway? I don’t care enough about Richmond to know.
  12. No doubt I would die of a heart attack moments before Oliver kicks the winning behind.
  13. 14 days also allows fans to get into WA and do the quarantine should dictator Mark allow us filthy Victorians such privileges.
  14. I wonder how hard it would be to connect the big screens at the MCG to a zoom for fans to be able to attend and support from home so at least the players can have real time cheering from fans. If say members can log onto a host service and have it on while they watch the game from home, and cheer on the players in real time? Maybe the cheer squads can also be allowed to put up flags and banners around the ground for both sides?
  15. I totally agree with this. But I think it's important to note, since it's been widely reported that the people who held the engagement party are Jewish, that they are a minority. Unfortunately the orthodox and ultra orthodox community are mostly insular and selfish and they don't really care about what happens outside of their walls. But they are a minority within the larger Jewish community, and I just want to point that out because I've seen a lot of hate online for the community at large, and that is just simply unfair. Many leaders of the community have stood up and spoken out against these people, which is something we haven't seen from any other cultural or religious group that have also breached restrictions in the past. People are trash. People who use their religion or cultural heritage to justify their trash behaviour are even worse. I've just about had enough of everyone!
  16. We lost to Collingwood. Technically the Hawks game was not a loss.
  17. I just want to say that as a Jewish person, I am disgusted at what has gone on in that community. A community that I have purposefully distanced myself from. But I can tell you categorically that the large majority of the Jewish community are furious. The video of the party was leaked and sent to authorities by the community. The $350,000 of collective fines and the massive contract tracing efforts have only been made possible because good law abiding members of that community were not willing to protect these idiots. The outrage is real and I hope that the greater Victorian community can see that those people are a minority of selfish [censored] who use their religious radicalism to justify their [censored] behaviour in all walks of life.
  18. 2021 can go and get ducked 😭😭😭
  19. Ah yes back when people thought Saints could win the flag. Good times.
  20. I think Oliver was born to play finals. I just feel that he will rise to the occasion. He was a baby in 2018. He is not anymore. I am probably most excited for May. Baring any disasters next week, he gets to finally play finals. He must be salivating. Watch out forwards.
  21. He was serviceable. That’s all you can ask from a depth player.
  22. Hibbo is the best replacement for Hunt we have. He has loads of experience. Good pace. Can do good lockdown roles when required. He is certainly the best option until Hunt is back.
  23. I swear to god there isn’t a team in the competition I despise more deeply than this mob. Beating them in finals in 2018 is my fondest footy memory. May 2021 see that memory topped and their old team pushed aside into retirement as they should.
  24. Today was a performance of self preservation. Do enough but don’t get hurt. We are a week away from finals. Top 4 secured. Why would you risk injury or suspension against a team sitting 17th on the ladder? We won by 41 points with the handbreak firmly sitting in neutral. This is what professionals teams do.
