I know Rush actually does a lot of the one-on-one ruck coaching for the others...
-
I want him to break down 20 minutes into the final quarter of Rnd13, with GWS 130 points down.

Only time I've seen the AFL have an issue with a sign was the first North-Adelaide game when Carey played, as there were quite a few around about him and Anthony Stevens' wife around.

Need to get around to finding out if Dad's bought mine...

I didn't, I logged in.

They're doing this on BF - I'd be happy to. Scored 49.840 for season 2011

What number to put on my jumper? What do you have?
Striker475 replied to That's a Stretch's topic in Melbourne Demons
I've got 35, possibly going to get a 44 as well -
The issue being for Primus that Gold Coast can pip him with a #1 priority pick if they win less than 4 games...

All the best BP, thanks for the brilliant rookies (Jordie!!!!!!)

Just as an addendum to the whole Tom $cully saga, I had to explain to a girl I had coffee with yesterday the whole T$ saga, as it came up in conversation and she doesn't really follow football at the moment...and at that point I realised just how pointless moping about the whole thing is now. Let's just belt them Rnd 13 and be done with it.

I don't give a [censored] about the Kieran Jack thing to be honest. Sydney pursued him, there was a bit of an error due to communications issues across codes and understanding of the system but in the end they got their player - a third round rookie choice who by all accounts wasn't even looked at by any other club. He's turned out great. All power to them. Lane's article smacks of trying to land a big AFL story in the off-season in order to boost discussion of the AFL over other codes (see: A-League and the Brisbane streak, Harry Kewell, Victory instability, Heart challenging). In terms of $cully, I'm waiting til Rnd13 - a number of my friends, as well as myself (both MFC and non-MFC) are going to be at that game, getting our booing on.

I've said if Melbourne move out to $5 for the 8 pre-season (possible during the NAB) I'm going to chuck $20 on it.

Me? In no particular order: Bail - showed in 8 games (was it even that many) that he really is our #1 tagger, completely underrated. Jamar - Without Rush we're stuffed...Spencer *shudder* Frawley - A remotely decent Chip makes us look so much better down back Moloney - Clearance machine with Jamar - relies on Jamar being in though Clark - To straighten us up in the forward line.

Apart from that main fight against the Filth, I believe we should try to rebuild this rivalry. It's a bit tough, what with the AFL scheduling us down at the Cattery every year without fail (can anyone remember if we ever HAVEN'T played them in Geelong? I certainly can't) but the two-cities battle is a good one, and one that really could resurrect based off the history of the clubs. Build it up every year as the Victorian city rivalry or something like that. On a related note, if you drive down to Geelong, about a half hour before you get there there's a BP servo on either side of the freeway. They have there 3 flagpoles, aligned parallel to the road. The Geelong side has the Cats flag - a brand new one with the latest edition of the club logo. The centre one is the Australian flag, and the right one is a MFC flag - which looks like it's about 10-15 years old and is fairly battered (it's the one with the red and white face, the one that was used before the plain square). How would we go about getting the club to replace this - perhaps in the buildup to the clash this season?

I like the 'ethical' sponsorship idea but it's hard to draw the line. Because, well, define ethical? We were all delighted to see the EnergyWatch sponsorship yet they're currently being taken to court by the ACCC. Does having a sponsor that could be in breach of trading and/or consumer regulations constitute as ethical? Are Pets Paradise breaking the law? Can it be proven that they are? I hate the idea of puppy farms. We have just gotten a second dog, and we were very, very careful to select a dog that was not from a puppy farm but rather from a long-term, well-rated breeder. I fully intend on doing the same with future dogs. However, unless it can be proven that Pets Paradise have interacted with puppy farms (and by the way, define a puppy farm - because what an animal activist will define a puppy farm as and what a regular person will could be two very different things) then I'm not willing to agree with this train of thought.

Merry Christmas all!

Tell you what, I'd give my right leg to watch us pump North this year.

I still don't rate the Tiges. They are all class in the midfield, yes, but their defence is absolutely pants. Seriously. The backline reminds me of some of the awful groupings I've seen us put together over the years. Got no rucks either - one average ruckman from Adelaide does not a ruck division make.
-
Would not be surprised. Don't think the best will ever be seen of that guy.

I don't have a best. Most shattering is still 2004 though.
