  1. Although I don't think delisting 6 to 8 players is that unbelievable, I agree that there isn't much chance of us actually using a pick as low as 75 in the draft.
  2. Obviously about 99 percent of the rumors flying around are BS. Has Neeld come out and stated that we are only using x amount of picks in the draft? It could eventuate that a kid he had his eye on is still available at a late pick (75 or whatever) when he wasnt expected to be so we take him. We won't know until we get to draft time.
  3. Geelong have enough good players to not worry about losing one, we haven't really been in that position for a long time.
  4. I swear a new 'best 22' thread pops up every week.
  5. If McLean continues his form from this year who knows.... but he wasn't doing a whole lot with us anyway. I remember when everyone was ecstatic after we got pick 11 for McLean and Gys dominated in his first two games. Oh how things can change.
  6. I admit I haven't seen much of Prismall but it seems like he had a pretty good year in 2010 although he only played 15 games. Averaged 22.3 disposals, 5.6 marks, and 5.1 tackles per game. However having never played more than 15 games in a year (none this year), it would just be stupid if this trade went down.
  7. Also a possibility that Gys could go to Hawthorn for pick 28, though it sounds like the Hawks aren't super keen.
  8. Reported on the Facebook page: Martin to Brisbane for pick 33. Gysberts to Essendon for Brent Prismall and a fourth round pick.
  9. Going by past lessons, only a couple of these top 5/6 names are going to make it as 'stars'. My thinking is that the first couple of years are extremely important in a players development in regards to confidence. The fact that Wines already has the body for AFL footy means that he is going to make an impact much much sooner than a 70kg O'Rourke (who I'm not convinced by). So in saying that Wines is the better option as their is less development to do on his body and this means he'll have more confidence going into top level footy than a few of the others. So Wines for me. Watts can be used as an example here - thrown in way too early when he was a stck and his confidence was shattered. Although I guess it is a bit subjective per player and their attitude etc.
  10. Would do that in a heartbeat though I can't see how Spencer would have any kind of value to be honest, hasn't done much at all really.
  11. Think that trade was detailed on the Facebook page but we threw in Bennell too. So effectively we gave up Martin, Bennell and 49 and recieve Pedersen and Ray. Pretty good deal I reckon.
  12. Think the deal is likely to be Martin for 33 so that we can on trade 33 for Pederson and North can then use that pick as part of the Ben Jacobs deal with Port.
  13. Don't forget pick 20. We did pretty well out of that deal.
  14. English courts? How does that work then? I thought they had to be tried in Pakistan.
  15. An expensive sentence too... Is he studying at Melbourne Uni or did I just make that up?
  16. Obviously yes. There is no point in Jamar getting the taps when our mids are out muscled and beaten to the ball anyway. Bigger bodies, more aggression and a better understanding of each other (the midfield group) and the Russians taps will be used much more efficiently.
  17. We do need a midfield to get clearances... Jones can't do it all on his own.
  18. Jeez they are really serious about it, and they've crippled their cricket side for years by doing it. Talk about a hard line government.
  19. Bit off topic but does anyone know the status of Pakistani bowlers Mohammed Asif and Aamer? Really miss watching those guys, especially Asif. Him and Steyn were clearly the best fast bowlers in the world a couple of years ago.
