  1. I think we'd get Viney as long as we have one pick in the draft, as the AFL cannot change the father son rules just for one instance. Hence we'd be using our first pick which would be 88 or whatever if this were to end badly, though I think we'll be okay.
  2. Kyle Reimers if we can get a psychologist to construct some kind of visualisation regime whereby he believes he is playing against the Suns every week.
  3. Good news, especially Bail who is a real goer. Can be a very good player IMO if someone helps him sort out his kicking over summer. Still not sold on Spencer and I'm not sure he'll make it but I'll happily be proven wrong.
  4. We already saw improvement later in the year pants, especially from Sellar who you mentioned. By the end of this season he was marking strongly and looked much more confident and comfortable in his position. This is the improvement we will continue to see if players continue to buy in to Neelds philosophy - confidence in themselves and team mates to execute the game plan they are taught.
  5. Touche... I do think he'll find a home though and I still think he is a better option than Spencer. Despite stuffing my argument up there
  6. If someone was rubbish compared to Spencer they wouldn't be playing in the AFL. I admit Wood isn't a star but in my opinion he'd do a better job than Spencer as a back up ruckman.
  7. Except their spuds are usually a better standard than our spuds.
  8. Maybe webjet will contribute for a new promotion?
  9. Lol love the creativity. I see the mongrel in Spencer but he is still just too ungainly and uncoordinated I think. From what I've seen of Wood he isn't too bad and would be good insurance, which is what Spencer is anyway.
  10. Delist Spencer and get Wood. Rate him much higher.
  11. I was surprised at Jai's delisting, really thought he showed a bit this season. Plus I thought he had a two year contract!
  12. It's the way Scully and Fat Phil handled the whole thing pants. It reeked of arrogance and they spat in the face of the MFC.
  13. Apparently Toy isn't as keen on a career in the AFL as he should be, and there are question marks over his work ethic. I think attitude is should be held in much higher regard than talent and skills. Over the last few years we have seen players with a huge amount of talent but an attitude which says their heart really isn't in it - they aren't hungry enough and don't have the want to be an AFL player and the best they can be. I won't name names but a few of these players have been offloaded in the last couple of weeks. I would much prefer a less talented player who is prepared to work himself into the ground to be the best he can be than one of these 'talented' guys, of which Toy is one imo.
  14. Might have been something to do with him continually creating new accounts when he was banned?
  15. If Jacobs is available, absolutely get him. After him Surjan or Warren I suppose - we should stay away from Toy imo, the heart thing and an apparent attitude problem is not what we want. I think Neeld will have foreseen this already anyway.
  16. Frawley Tom Mc Garland Nicholson MacDonald Sellar is also very useful. Left out Grimes as I expect him to be playing in the middle next year. Also hoping Watts will be playing on the wing next season.
  17. I'm going out on a limb here, I don't think O'Rourke will go as high as people seem to think. Had an underwhelming year in the TAC cup and plenty of guys have smashed the championships only to be picked up late if not at all.
  18. Poor Range Rover, pretty sure he created this thread to show his support for Neeld and prove the haters wrong... Oh well
  19. Personally I think they've worked the last few weeks quite well. It was a good move giving up 3 and 13 for Hogan as everyone seems to forget, we don't have a recruiter. We probably would have shanked the picks anyway. So proven players like Dawes and Byrnes and shoe ins like Hogan were definitely the way to go this year rather than risking the high end of the draft. Focus on drafting next year when the Collingwood bloke is in charge.
  20. Why does the age rule apply? Is it some kind of duty of care thing to do with minors getting injured or being employed on a fulltime basis?
  21. Neeld did state that he was going to be using Hardwick's model as a bit of a blueprint.
  22. I think the role of the list manager isn't as stand alone as people think. They work with the coach, head recruiter and others so it's unfair to pin it on Harrington. Evidence of this is the different kinds of players recruited under Bailey vs Neeld, as Harrington has been around with both of them.
  23. Lol, what do you expect Neeld to do after one year and a whole list of rubbish that he can't do anything with? He has to get rid of the players that don't fit into the way he wants to play, and has to get his hands on the guys that can play his way and fit his structure. Howabout you give the guy a chance? I really thought that people understood a radical change was needed after the Daniher and Bailey years and Neeld is doing just that. This really is a society of instant gratification, have some patience ffs and you'll see that Neeld is going the right way in 2013.
