  1. With his fists? Anything was possible with Jacko.
  2. What surprises me most is not what he allegedly said but that Demonland's auto-censor is comparatively wowserish compared with Facebook.
  3. Looking at that list, I think we should reserve number 8 for an "interesting personality" to join Crackers Keenan, Brent Crosswell and Heritier Lumumba.
  4. I'm more concerned about the Directors who approved the payment.
  5. I think the answer to your question is obvious. One is a fourth man up.
  6. Missing one player is getting to be habit forming. Melksham in 2016, Lumumba in 2017. Wonder who it will be in 2018. Personally, I think it's no big deal and I just don't understand the vitriol directed towards him. That he didn't play many games is not much different to other recruits over the journey, whether they were drafted or traded in.
  7. Why am I thinking 'Donald Trump supporter' when I read this?
  8. Two points about the Tweet below 1. Not language I'd usually expect from the ABC 2. I can see why Jordan Lewis left Hawthorn. Anything to get away from some truly weird jumper designs. ABC News Melbourne Retweeted ABC Grandstand ‏@abcgrandstand 15m15 minutes ago The #AFL has outlawed the third man up at ruck contests, and some big-name players are spewing http://ab.co/2ie9pSb (Pic: AAP) 0 replies2 retweets0 likes Reply Retweet 2 Lik More
  9. I find it humorous that so many people are trying to find a Macchiavellian angle into the departure of the player known as The Prince.
  10. I agree with you about the loud music because it's not something you have a choice to avoid. But I don't get how the gambling advertisements affect your enjoyment. Can't you just ignore them?
  11. Um, not a fan of Gil, then?
  12. Sometimes Demonland has posts that just read gloriously one after the other.
  13. There's two issues being discussed in this thread. The value of Gil McLachlan and the pay scale for a CEO of the AFL. I'm interested in the latter. What do people think the AFL CEO should be paid? Ignore the incumbent. If you could choose the very best person for this job, what would you pay him or her? In other words, what's the job really worth? And as a second question, what are the key performance indicators upon which such a person should be measured? (Remember, KPIs need to be measurable. No point saying "the health of the competition" without some way of measuring it.)
  14. It will be the loss Demonland had to have.
  15. What strikes me about this list is that in terms of MFC experience its Jones and then (I think) Viney. That's a huge gap and just shows how poor we were just a few years ago with N Jones and a few try-hards as our on-ballers. (Plus Trengove, who is excused.)
  16. What's your point? Apparently there's no 'I' in team, either. Or so I'm told on Demonland.
  17. 6six6's excellent photos from Friday show a montage of Hogan having a set shot. You can't tell whether he's "skipping" in his run up, but it seemed obvious to me he was holding the ball over the wrong (left) leg as he started his run up. The only problem, though, is almost immediately afterwards there's a similar montage of Brayshaw also taking a set shot...and also starting holding the ball over his left leg before he kicks with his right. So, clearly I have no idea what's the right technique and what isn't.
  18. I keep reading that Goodwin is more hands on on training days than Roos. So, a question for the experiences track watchers. Do you believe Roos being hands off was actually just part of the transition process? (In other words, was Roos more hands on before Goodwin joined the club?)
  19. Mind you, some players seem to be as deficient on their non-preferred hand as their non-preferred foot.
  20. "diplomat" and "fiery" aren't words that usually go together to describe one person.
  21. I don't think it's a question about peaks forward or back; rather it's a question of caps on with peaks at the back or caps not on at all. Anyway, let's get back to training reports...Anyone?
  22. Melbourne FC ‏@melbournefc 4m4 minutes ago The boys in action this morning #myheartbeatstrue 0 replies0 retweets0 likes Reply Retweet Like More (I know there's sometimes a bit of banter about players wearing their caps with the peak at the back. But in all seriousness, given the amount of sunshine these players are exposed to, it's probably a good idea.)
  23. Are you sure it's not "No Lumumba December"?
