It's so easy to look at a single photo like this and take it out of context. Unless we know what his right hand was doing, I'm sitting on the fence and making no judgment.

Probably using the same pocket calculator they used when finalising Kurt Tippett's contract.

I don't think he's unsavoury. He's more like pi - he's irrational and goes on and on. -

Looking at these pictures, the best thing about having Preuss at Melbourne is that Max doesn't have to compete against him in a match. -
Laughing at the Pies.....

The most enjoyable thing in football is when Melbourne wins the Grand Final (or so I'm told). The second most enjoyable thing in football is (choose one): When Collingwood lead deep into a Grand Final only to lose it When Collingwood win the wooden spoon -
Well said.

It would be ironic if pursuing with this concept may mean that AFLX turns either Stephen Hocking or Gil McLachlan (or both) into EX-AFL

Saty, do the players also have strict "rules" about how much they can do when they are not officially training? For example, if one of the players felt like going for a run, swim or gym session on their day off or early in the day before turning up for work, can they do so? -

Indeed. It was better than any one of Daicos's goals. -

Not even watching Daicos could get me to attend any Collingwood games unless we were playing them. My detest of Collingwood was so strong from the 1960s through to approximately 15 January 2019, that I just couldn't watch them. However, your comment about Daicos is understood. It's hard to believe that the bouncing "round the corner" kicks at goal we now see performed regularly just didn't exist until Daicos showed how it could be done. -
The knee bone's connected to the... something. The something's connected to the red thing. The red thing's connected to my wristwatch. Uh oh.

Should the professional football thing not work out for him, I could see a career for him as a traffic cop. -

One of only two players I can genuinely say I went to a game just to watch them play. The other was Gary Ablett Sr. -

Given Dee Zephyr posted after Drunkn, I'll assume that Vanders is 100% OK and Drunkn needs to go to Specsavers. -
Hope not. Alistair Clarkson has never been selected as Coach of the Year and last year Adam Simpson was beaten for the title by Nathan Buckley.

Origins/meanings of Display Names?

Personally, I think people who try to impress using big or unusual words are quite oleaginous. -

It's his size that interests me. I generally believe a player's weight needs to be equal to his height less 100. So, using Sparrow as an example, take his 182 cm height and deduct 100, gives 82 kg. That doesn't necessarily mean he's fit and the kgs could be puppy fat; but he's not a string bean like so many others who might start their careers at, say, 182 cm and 74 kg. -
Which raises the question...who is eligible to be selected in the mid-season draft? Anyone? Or, anyone who puts their name on a list? Are there any exclusions (such as retirees who retired in the last x number of months)?, etc. More exotically, could a player retire at the beginning of a season and then be drafted by another team during the year?

I'm a bit unclear as to why he was wearing footy boots to the wedding.

The artwork on that thumb is incredibly realistic.

OK. But why not DeadZed, then? -
I like what you've done here, but to be honest there's others I'd put ahead of Farmer. Examples include Leigh Matthews, Eddie Betts, Cyril Rioli and Robert Flower (not because that's where he played, but if I'm picking any side from the centreline forward, he's got to be in there)

Or if that's too far south for you, you could move to Kurnell just out of Sydney. Obviously not Inner Kurnell. Far Kurnell is a much better place to be. -
Or it's preventative action

Still waiting for Jaded to respond and explain whether her real name is Jade with a surname starting with D or whether her user name is just a description about how she feels. Or both. At the time I joined Demonland we were a joke on and off the field and if you didn't laugh you'd have to cry. Hence, a kind of comedy. Note: I'm not a fan of users changing their names without explanation. In the spirit of full disclosure, I changed my name once - but only because I couldn't spell Comedia correctly.
