What war chest? The one minus $1.5 mill? We have no 'war chest'. Pay out Neeld, Craig and most of the assistants and we are minus $2.5-3mill.
-
Make him the forward coach so that he can clean sweep the ruination of our list.
-
That BS from a pleased Choco? FMD, another failed player.
-
Cause Blease plays no game so only gets crunched for 2 quarters this time instead of the usual 4?
-
Does this rumour mean that we now don't want Dimwitreo to resign cause he might do something to help our club? And that Roos might be a saviour, despite dissin' the hell out of us over the last couple of years? We're a fickle bunch.

Great report PSD. Many thanks.

His umpire shirt number is actually based upon his IQ.

Love your passion Chook, but all clubs and fans at some point look ahead towards future drafts. I too have expressed sadness that we do this earlier than most other clubs, but we are where we are. Not sure anyone here is placing "unfounded faith" in prospects mentioned for this year's draft. That's putting words in mouths. We do, however, have to add some players to our list, that's the rules of the AFL. If we get one or more high picks, we'll use them to further build our club. Building from within AND from drafts. An eye on what we have now, and an eye on the upcoming talent in the draft.

Which of the many 'positions' are you talking about Chook? (note to BBO: missionary is not one of them). If you are referring to the T word, no one is talking of that on this thread. Except for snaring a mature gun midfielder or two through a trade or FA, we will have to draft and develop, draft and develop, etc. (though we've been crapolla at this so far). Its the way we will have to build our list

GWS will go hard at 'quality' players at the end of this year, according to Sheepy. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/gws-going-hard-at-quality-players-20130505-2j1gd.html How bout we trade Jamar for a pick around 14-18 mark to use on a ready-to-go, hard, young mid? Will Billings be gone by then?

I hate thinking of the draft when the season has just begun. It's f*****g hard work being a Melbourne supporter.
-
Isn't Aish wafer thin? Haven't had many skinny kids in the team over the last 7 yrs, so why not! Dunstan, ready to go.
-
Then they might as well stay home, Ralph.
-
You can add 5 or 6 others to the list. Nico and Bail are near the top.
-
Now we just need another 20 players to do the same......

Agree. There was little kicking or handballing to advantage. Getting sick of watching hand balls to flat footed teammates with 2 opponents nearby.
-
Fair bump. Even the Carlton fans around me were laughing at it. Reported for daring to bruise a Blue.
-
Some amazingly bad skill errors, particularly in disposal. I like Tom Mc, but his kicking is just awful. Appears as if the preseason was all fitness work and no skill development.

Yes, please delete another anti-Neeld thread. We've got the message from you Stuie. Have for a while. Getting boring.

Potential club president candidates?

Geez, Green from GWS looks like a very good footballer in the making. Smooth mover. Would like to see someone like him come to the Dees.

Maybe it's the devil's advocate in me, but I'd like to revisit T Sully in 2-3 yrs and see if he's not trying to be traded to the Toiges. He was supposed to be super keen to go there before we got the no1 pick thanks to Jordie McMahon. In 2-3yrs he'll have gotten the bulk of his $millions from GWS and perhaps be keen to play his prime years at Tigerland, as he originally wanted. Isn't his family big tiger fans, not that it means all that much?

We are an easy target for the press to hit ATM

Can't have that. Stuie and his band would jump off a bridge
