Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
Moonshadow replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Just great. Dropping now like flies. Can the MFC please ensure we have a doctor present at the game on the bench against GWS? Would be just like us to fail this basic duty of care requirement. -
Bruce wasn't watching the footy at that point.
-
Agree. Sums it up well.

Jason Taylor in a fight on AIS Europe tour?

If our sponsor's are thinking that any coverage is money well spent, then they're certainly going to be happy this month. -

Don't be so ridiculous - won't happen in my lifetime. -
What will the next scandal/rumor be?

Club accounts were fudged and MFC put in the hands of administrators. Bankruptcy. The end. -
I didn't read it as being about the 7.30 Report as such, but about his performance during the presidency. That's the way the thread started. You are too untrusting. Sleep with a gun under your pillow Stuie?
-
Maybe it's a fitness issue and they want him to have a bigger tank first?
-
If we are talking about the facts around tonight's ABC 7.30 Report, then yes, we need to settle down and get the facts first. But if we are talking about DMs time as president and acting president when Jim was too sick, then the Club's performance and decision making was, overall, far from satisfactory. Don is at the top of that.
-
It's a figure of speech, and besides, times are tough.
-
I'm reading these stats you keep repeating in multiple threads now, Stuie. Your starting to sound a lot like Range Rover. Some might argue the weakest supporters want to change the coach almost as often as changing their knickers, but want to hang on to sooking players with potential who don't believe in doing the hard work required.

Wonder if Neeld knew of this?
-
Talk is that it is Dank himself. Like a drowning man grabbing at others while he's going down.
-
He has to dominate VFL games rather than just play well in the VFL. I'm sure other AFL clubs would expect no less from theirs.
-
With high draft picks, anyway. We seem to have better success with late draft picks, eg Tom Mc

Name who has stood up so far? That list is much easier to compile. Maybe only Nate Jones, as yet. All the rest need to get off their rrrr's. However, your point is taken, GIG.

It will certainly be an interesting couple of weeks and couple of months ahead Stuie

So we double the unprofessionalism by sacking him? Clarkson will not go near us. We offered him everything but our first born before Neeld and he laughed at us. I think it's as much to do with the quality of cattle, the culture and severe lack of confidence as it is about Neeld. I honestly believe he needs at least until the end of the year. Wouldn't it be good if we beat GWS and then Brissy and were 2/3 after round 5, hey? Would do massive things for the team's confidence (and ours as supporters).
-
Fair enough, but we're all punters in the outer, none of us really know much about how he's running the team or his ability yet. His record is certainly not good, but are we gonna keep turning coaches over and over like its a supermarket checkout? It smacks of desperation and severe unprofessionalism to do so. And we will end up with worse coaches each time, if anyone can be bothered giving us a go. I'm still undecided about Neeld, but I'm certain that sacking him now would be even more disastrous to our long term survival. I can't see how the support he has from Craig, the assistant coaches and people like Todd Viney and Misso would not produce results sometime this season.
-
Not quite sure that's what's being said Stuie, but I'm sure we all get the point you are making that you don't like Neeld one bit. Does the fact he got rid of your under performing mates have something to do with it? As unflattering as it is, we're all well aware of Neeld's record.

Scott Thompson and maybe Matthew Bishop, but they are starting to go back in time a bit far. Bishop was very well repected at PA, I believe, 2004 premiership player.
