  1. Yeah sure, good on him, but no big deal.
  2. Firstly, most people don't think buddy did his hammy. Second, anyone on about $600k p/a and unable to do their job for much of the last 2 yrs due to injury should be putting in extra hours (yes even on a Sat night) to get back to work.
  3. So a guy whose barely played in 2 yrs (obviously through no fault of his own) is doing an extra session on a Sat night. Given his large salary and clear commitment to the club I'd call that par for the course. Great guy and love watching him play, but don't think it's too unexpected.
  4. Got a link Tingles?
  5. IMO that's just Paul McNamee justifying Paul McNamee. Pie in the sky thinking, if you pardon the pun. Was never going to happen.
  6. Make enough crazy statements and sooner or later one will come to fruition.
  7. Not saying this applies to Hogan but a mate who does sports science used to say to me that when they scream in agony as if they were dying, it's usually not severe knee injury. When they feel a little discomfort like a bit of a strain, the medicos start to worry about a knee reco. As I said, this is just a theory.
  8. No, definitely not. Just telling.
  9. You two should get a room together. Quickly.
  10. Will he get a game?
  11. Maybe cause they've always used Princess Park it adds to the data they currently have on the players.
  12. Might be just me, but I'm loving the idea of first year players finding it hard to get a senior game initially. Playing AFL firsts should be earned rather than an expectation. In the past we've often granted early games to players to get games under their belts, eg, Morton and even Bennell. To see guys like JKH and Salem strive hard at training knowing that they may not get a game for 12 mths keeps them very hungry and competitive.
  13. If you go and watch the Dees at the G it is open on match days. Otherwise online purchasing is better. They pay no rent so its better for the club financially to be there, unfortunately. Until we get 50-60,000 members, it won't pay to move it. We just don't have enough demand.
  14. I thought Fitzy was a good kick last year, both field kicking and set shots. Not the prettiest, but pretty effective.
  15. Agreed Hardtack. I thought Roosy's last couple of years at Syd were fast and attacking style footy. Enjoyable to watch.
  16. More detail please, especially the massage bit
  17. Think I remember in a club interview it being said they were doing time trials first week back. Something about testing their condition after the Christmas break. Happens each year I suppose.
  18. Regardless on whether we agree or not, Hogan has played some of his junior footy down back. And has done very well there. In future, that may be deemed an option should we find ourselves with too many tall forwards. Of course, we'd all love to see him tearing it up as a KPF, but it would be interesting to hear PR's thoughts on this over the next year or 2.
  19. You got married.... a little bit of me died that day. It was a kick in the guts (not you getting married, belated congrats btw).
  20. I don't think all three will be deep in attack very often. Clark taking stints in ruck, Dawes leading well up high to the fwd 50 and centre square, Howe floating down from centre square. Hogan is very mobile too.
  21. Josh Fraser says hi.
  22. Good points Beats. I too think GarRy Lyon has a lot to answer for. Doing the 'hokey pokey' with one foot in and one foot out, long after he should have got involved. Too little too late, and what he contributed towards proved disastrous, eg selecting Neeld quickly in the process. Probably should have stayed out of it.
  23. Only a poster with your name could get away with that comment.
