Where's the individual accountability with a zone defence where players guard space? A player can always say "I wasn't on that one guy so that mark and goal wasn't my responsibility". Sure it's not as simple as that, but some of these backline guys need a massive injection of ownership and individual accountability when an opponent is left unattended by 30m, when they are always second to the ball or when 3 go up to spoil the mark leaving 3 opponents wondering around scooping up the ball. Angry.
