  1. Very nervous interviewer. Jeez they are soooooo young. Liked how he talked about the unity within the backline and that there is considerable backline experience at the club even though he, Wags and Hunt are all inexperienced. I think he'll continue to improve and be a long termer.
  2. Too much exposure of fellow posters there Biff. You know the spiel.... what happens on the cruise stays on the cruise.
  3. Only just turned 23! We are indeed a young team, we put so much expectation on young players. I feel like his position in the team makes him about 27. Oh, to be like a side that has an average age of 25 with 100 games!
  4. Bloody Nora that is one revolting gif Mandy. You should post a warning beforehand. After all, Melbourne are the new and improved family club.
  5. You'll get free semen ... er, seamen at your cabin door Red.
  6. "One week at a time" or "level playing field" the football equivalent Dr G?
  7. 17 clubs are propped up by pokies. Many, perhaps most, wouldn't survive without them. State govt gets a big chunk of revenue from gambling, somewhere between 15-20% of total, I believe. Would struggle to be solvent if not. Sad really.
  8. I'll believe it when I see pen to paper. Don't give a [censored] what journos think, as none of them seem to have any inside knowledge, thankfully. They can change their tune as much as they like as it currently means jack.
  9. Are you on a 24 hour delay? Keep up man!
  10. And maybe some are saying he should play a mix of AFL and VFL but that our tall back stocks make that unlikely ATM, especially given Dunn's hammy. I was pleased to see Frost played in the backline against Hawthorn. Perhaps that will see OMac get a gig at Casey soon. I would prefer Dunn or Garland not part of our back 6 in the future, but that's not going to happen. And it's also great to read Hurley is signed on with us. Thanks for the news Deespicable Me.
  11. And Stef played some admirable games in the backline for us too
  12. Wasn't that one of the main reasons he wanted out of Collingwood? Because they wanted him to chop out in the ruck and he didn't want that roll? I know he's a team orientated guy and will give any task a go, but if he's made it clear in the past he doesn't want that, well....
  13. Yes Good Doctor, it was most painful. Lucky I've already reproduced. I think BBO might've worded them up beforehand. Typical. He likes to watch these things from a distance, the peeping Tom he is.
  14. Gerrard Whatley is the pick of them IMO. There are too many commentators who are intoxicated from drinking their own bath water.
  15. Where were you when a herd of hulking PT inspectors forced me to the ground, spayed me with what i can only assume was capsicum and slapped cuffs on? I've only just got out on bail. Some mate you turned out to be.
  16. Are you talking slow off the mark because his draft camp 20m sprints came in at 3.01 sec, which is pretty good http://www.thecourier.com.au/story/2598574/rebels-improve-on-times-at-draft-camp/ Or is it endurance speed over the game, because his time trials early in the year were also impressive. "...with impressive performances coming from the likes of Oscar McDonald, Billy Stretch and Alex Neal-Bullen — all of whom have played 11 games or less for the club and either ran or were close to personal best times." http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/melbourne-youngsters-impress-coaching-staff-after-strong-time-trial-performances/news-story/b4f237069e7044c56fa90e7834a7a4ba Maybe you are thinking slow to make decisions, which is understandable given he's played only a handful of AFL games. Like everyone on here (despite what some might think), I don't know if OMac will be a long term player for our club. But for the first time since the Northey era I think this FD know what they are doing.
  17. Perhaps the FD think OMac is either a) ready to be played at AFL level or b) the best option of our remaining tall backs. Or a bit of both. Maybe they think he'll develop quicker at AFL level. I'd rather see him play a mix of AFL and VFL, but only if we had the cattle to support that. I don't think we do. On a miserably wet day that wouldn't have suited a inexperienced tall backman, I thought he wasn't as bad as many on here have painted him to be. He got 22 at 70% effective on a wet track. He'll improve as he gains strength and makes smarter and quicker decisions.
  18. Give up Stu. I suggested you add him to the list of players you think won't make it. I didn't claim you said he won't make it. You are getting a rise out of yourself. Keep going if you must, but I've had enough of your rant
  19. Most tall players have similar question marks over them. I know I questioned TMac, Dunn, Frawley, Jamar, Gawn and Watts at various times early in their careers. They are different from smaller players such as Hunt, Wagner, Oli and Tracc whose opponents are generally not the big targets as play is advanced. I think Roos and Goodwin see the future differently from us, but like us all I hope their call is the correct one.
  20. Isn't he the maggot who favoured Bulldogs 17:1 frees? AFL please look into his betting accounts.
  21. Maybe they are simply inexperienced and worth persevering with despite some short term pain at times? Top teams back their selecton and players. We are not in the Neeld era anymore.
  22. Bad concussion. I heard repeating migranes.
  23. Lumumba and Viney are a long way off. Pedo has had pneumonia has been very unwell.
